*Chapter 2*

Pulling into my regular parking spot at school I see that Juanito and Gabriels cars are already here. Some other car that I didn't recognize was parked on the other side of Juan's car I stood there for a moment irritated inspecting whos car it could be parking in our spot every, one here at sunrise already knew this was our spot. It's probably some new kid or someone is out of their god damn mind. I'm not surprised that Jose's car isn't here yet. He is literally never here for first period. He's always late. No matter what, I'm convinced that when he dies he'll be late to his own funeral. surprisingly Ramon's truck was here, Ramon got his truck taken away over the summer because he got a speeding ticket for racing with the guy's that are in his truck club. It's not the first time he's done some dumb shit like that, last year he got a ticket for not stopping at a red light and when he didn't pay it on time they charged him a hundred dollars more than the actual fine had originally been. By the time his parents found out I was sure we were never going to see him again. His mom threatened to send him to his aunt's place in Arizona as punishment, she sounded dead serious this time around.

I was a hundred percent sure that Liz got a ride with Juan. We all noticed the chemistry between them since freshman year. I've always been sure that they had a thing but it was never confirmed by either of them. Until we saw them making out in his car outside of a party we all went to last year it was the senior's homecoming after-party. Ever since then they've been a couple.

Eduardo and Danny have practically been dating since the end of sophomore year, they might be running late because Danny is usually the last one getting ready whenever we go out. I mean I get it though it is the first day of school and some people like to get all ready like Danny that bitch will not go out looking like shit. She's a big believer in first impressions on new teachers and staff, and the new kids. 

It's crazy to think this is our last year of high school. Our last year all together. We all met in second grade well almost all of us we met Danny when she moved in next door to Liz at the end of third grade right before fourth grade. We've been friends ever since. We all live in the same gated community so it was easily noticeable when someone new moved in. Danny has always been a little spitfire from the very first moment we met her till this day she doesn't take anybody's shit and if it isn't Danny's way it's obviously the wrong way. Danny has always been the super fashionable one so she was easy to talk to about clothes and all that girly stuff.

I was never the type to hang out with the girl's a lot but when I met Liz we instantly clicked. Have you ever heard the saying two opposites attract well that's what I think of Liz and I. She's always been quiet and shy, well I guess you could say somewhat innocent, and well I was always the bad influence we have always been so different the guys never understood our friendship to this day they still don't get how Liz and I are still friends. The thing with Liz was that no matter how timid she was she's always been down to do anything. She was practically the mom in the group always worrying and taking care of us. She's super optimistic and loving no matter what the situation is whether it be advice or just someone to chill with she's always down to lend a hand.

"Lalo!" was all the warning I gave him before jumping on his back.

"Chingado mi Amor" (Fuck my love) he cursed as he tried to stable himself as I laughed wrapping my arms around his neck. Liz shook her head as she burst out laughing watching us in amusement.

"Mi Amor( My love) get the hell off already. Te quiero (I love you) but this shit really isn't working your not as light as you used to be", Jose teased as I playfully glared at him and slapped him upside the head.

"Then what's the point of having really big manly guy friends if they can't help you out when you're too lazy to walk," I said groaning dramatically.

A few People in the quad were starting to stare at us in amusement while others would look to see what kind of commotion was going on and would quickly turn back around and start talking amongst themselves about who knows what some didn't even care to look our way. The thing about me and my friends is that no one messes with us. The fact that the guy's looked pretty intimidating to look at or even approach, people would usually just look at us smile and quickly look away. But the truth is we honestly aren't who they stereotype us out to be half of the time.

"Hey, Elena did you hear about that new kid who transferred from Palo Verde? I heard he's some big shot soccer play" Liz said smirking looking towards Danny who was already smiling.

"Well I heard he's drop-dead gorgeous" Danny smirked looking at me and then Eduardo waiting for his reaction.

"Damn foo you gonna let your girl talk about another vato like that in front of you". Lalo said laughing along with Gabe. Eddy just stood there looking unpleased with an arm around Danny. 

Juan leaned in toward Eduardo and elbowed him in the stomach and whispered, "hey man that's him right there" Just a little too loud for all of us to hear.

Just as Juanito had said there he was. The new transfer student. Who heard Juan a little too clearly. He stood there judgmental, tall with cool black eyes holding a steady gaze forward, looking right at me and I swear in that moment his eyes sliced right into me like if he knew me, as if it was just him and I here, and just as soon as it happened he looked away and the corners of his mouth tilted up showing a faint smirk on his lips and soft chuckled probably smiling about something that the girl standing next to him said I don't know but what I did know is that in that very moment he was going to be trouble.
