Oh! Hello! My name is Darwin I'm a fish! Would you like to learn about my home?
Another name for an animal's home is called a habitat. It's just like your home, your home is a habitat!

Would you like to know where I live? Of course you do! I live in a place called the ocean pelagic biome, it's the ocean! It is huge! And blue!

See? I love my habitat! Oh hey! Would you like to know what I eat? I don't eat the same as you but I eat krill it's my favorite, but I also have some other fish in the sea that I should be careful around it's really dangerous!

I have to be careful around bigger fishes than me. There's a thing that is always happening in habitats it's called a food chain. This is what helps maintain the ecosystem which is another word for outside or a habitat.

Another name for plants in a habitat are producers. Like in my habitat or biome there's seaweed, plankton, zooplankton, phytoplankton, and more! Animals who only eat these plants are called consumers they eat the plants to get energy! Like a crab and krill. But there's also more who have to eat them in order to get energy too. They're called primary consumers like a squid and a fish like me! Then there are secondary consumers who I have to be careful around. Like a seal, and a seagull they don't live in the water but you still have to be careful! Lastly there's tertiary consumers, like a blue whale and a killer whale!

This is a called a climatogram! It tells you how much precipitation has came each month. Precipitation is an example of rain, snow, sleet, and more!

They can also tell the temperature meaning how hot or how cold it is during the months!

There's something's that can affect me that are non living! Another name for them are called abiotic. Here are some examples: water, currents, tides, and more. But things that affect me that are living are called biotic. Like bacteria, and other plants and animals.

But sadly my habitat is in danger! Can you help me? Start picking up your trash! And don't just leave it on the ground, recycle! Sadly other factories are affecting my home as well. You can start being more green, meaning more eco friendly!

Thank you for being here my friends I'll talk to you later!
