Bottled up

This was a poem about not sharing feelings about my then girlfriend

She feels bottled up, unable to say how she feels, what she sees, what she knows. She fakes it. Her apprehension is trapping her in a painful cage.

The bottle lid sometimes cracks open and her emotions  spill. She tries to clean it up before they notice. They ask her what the bottle is for but she refuses to tell.

Others say " Be open about the bottle " but she wont, she cant because shes afraid that spilling this bottle will have them disgusted that she even has the bottle.

She want the bottle to leave her alone. She wants to shatter it but she knows it will stain her.
