Have you ever felt exhausted even after sleeping well and had a shower? You feel lazy you don't want to go anywhere you just want to go back to sleep. That's exactly how I felt even after forty five minutes in the shower.

I feel so exhausted. I don't even want to go to the bakery but I know I have to. I get dressed in a sweatpant and sweatshirt. Yes i'm going there dressed like this and I sure hope I get some sleep there.

I picked my book, purse and my phone from my bedside table and headed downstairs. I walked to the kitchen and picked up an apple. An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Nah. I'm just too lazy to fix anything for breakfast.

I walk towards the fridge picking up a sticky note from the island and stick it on the fridge before writing down that I was off and that she should make her own breakfast.

I'm positive she has an evening shift today so she's going to wake up very late and would expect food when she comes down since I usually make and keep her part in the microwave but today I'm too tired.

I walked out of the apartment building and to where I parked my car and started the engine before driving off.

I pull up at the bakery and as usual its as quiet as a graveyard. I got out of the car and walked to the doors of the bakery opening it and pushing the 'Closed' sign to 'Open'.

I headed straight to the kitchen not even caring about putting down the chairs from the table the others can do that. I started with chocolate cinnamon coffee cake. I had just placed the cake in the oven when I heard the front door open. Just in time Shay.

I waited for the kitchen door to open but it didn't. That's weird. She always comes straight to the kitchen. Oh! Maybe she's arranging the chairs which i totally ignored when I came in.

I picked up my book and walked to the door. I could do with some company before the cake is done. I opened the door and walked out expecting to see Shay. That's odd no one is here.

I looked around only to see Ferrari guy sitting at the rare end. Sitting at the same spot he was in yesterday. I walked toward him and tapped his shoulder before putting my hand on my hips and looking at him with raised brows.

"Oh. Hey. Uhm Good morning" he said sheepishly. Reaching behind him to scratch his neck. "I saw that you were open so I came in to get something before going to work" I looked at the time to see it was already six thirty. We don't usually get customers till seven or eight so I just nod my head and walk to the counter to get a pen and paper to write his orders before I walked to his table.

I cocked my head to the side holding the pen and paper and he seemed to understand what I meant. "Uh. I would have blueberry muffins, chocolate pancakes and hot chocolate" I wrote down his order except the blueberry muffin. I picked up my book and started writing.

"NO BLUEBERRY MUFFINS TODAY BUT WE DO HAVE CINNAMON CHOCOLATE COFFEE CAKE" I scribbled before showing him.

"Oh" he said looking slightly disappointed but he started smiling and said "Ok I would have that but please make that to go" I nodded before walking away to make his order.

I started with the pancake mix adding chocolate chips just as I put the pan on the stove I heard a 'ding' sound which means my cake is ready. Yay.

I took the cake out of the oven and left it to cool then went back to the pan and switched on the stove. After it heated a bit, I added the mix in two places then when bubbles started forming I flipped it. When it was ready, i did the same to the others till the batter finished.

I put six on his plate and I took the other six since I didn't have any breakfast then I started making his hot chocolate. The kitchen door opened and Shay walked in. About time.
