Brothers

[Present Day]
Randy Warner.

Don't ever give up on everything.

I just remember that words while Chris is laughing out loud. We already out from our room and now we spend the time outside.

Riding a horse is always our favorite things to do beside baseball. Chris's horse was dark brown while mine was black.

"Why you just stay silent? Say something." Chris says.

"I remember that old days. I wonder how is Nathan by now. I mean, I don't even get any invitation for reunion."

"Damn, I almost forgot to tell you that. And yes, a week ago the invitation was sent here."

Please just end my life.

"What?" It looks like disaster.

"I'm not lying. The reunion will be held on this Saturday. And the bad news is, we have to wear clothes which refers to our job. You know what that means."

Actually, that's not bad news at all.

"So?"

"We have to wear it. Navy Service Dress. Isn't?"

It's time to show all I've got this far. I don't mean to be arrogant, I just want this one person know that I succeed to achieve what I wanted.

"You come?" Chris asked me.

"Sure. But is it necessary to actually wear the clothes so everyone knows what we do for living?"

"I'll show you. It is what the invitation said. Come on, let's go back to our home."

I ride my horse behind Chris, slower than he did. He is riding his horse fast. I wonder if The Seals taught him to ride a horse too. We actually put the horses in house's yard. I walk together following Chris and I see Charlotte still talking with my mom.

My dad talks to Eliza. It is so nice to see them together.

"So, I put the invitation on my room. Wait a sec, I have to search my night stand."

So, I sit on the edge of Chris's bed. And I just realize his bag is on the other side of the bed.

"You still unpack yet?" I asked.

"No, I will do the unpack the other day. It's my habit to leave my bag unpacked for a week, that's actually happened long time ago. And don't worry, it just my field gear. The clothes is safe and sound."

"Okay." I just simply said that because I have nothing else to say. Damn Seals. A few minutes later, Chris finally get up from his knees and hand the invitation to me.

"Well, it does say exactly what you were saying. So, yes, we gonna use the uniform." I said.

"Let's go."

****

I say goodbye to my wife and also Eliza, and she always looks happy when she sees me wearing a service dress.
