The light gave a nice and soft hit to her face. She opened her eyes; her mother was looking at her, with an upsetting face. She didn't have gotten at first what was going on. Nothing is clear when you wake up, simply nothing is clear. I can tell for sure. Her mom was mad, and upset, but mostly mad. She was meditating what was happening. Her mom gave a quick look to the clock, and then she did.

–Nadia...–

She jumped off her bed, realizing how late it was. She ran and mildly fixed her hair. She got dressed and ran as fast as she could. This always happens... she thought. Getting inside the building made her realize her mom tricked her to be early this time. She sighed, that was a big relief to her. In the first day of school, and being late, is like waking up with the left foot.

She went and picked up her locker number and code, she took out the materials that she had on her bag and stored them inside. She gave a look to her schedule and went to the first class she had.

–Well class... welcome to a new year here, my name is Mr. Holler; I'll be your chemistry teacher in this last year of middle school. I hope to introduce you this class in an exciting way, so you all can enjoy it as much as I do.–

The teacher was tall, and with colored skin, he had afro hair and really thick eyebrows, something curious that he had was that his eyes were in a really light green. Those which could make you pay all your attention on him just to see his eyes. You could see his passion about chemistry even before he started talking about it, a true scientist... Nadia thought.

No one in her class was new, she knew everyone she met last year. She gave another look, no one new, simply not a new student, she knew everyone's strengths and flaws, and she knew what they partially liked and what they disliked. But she has never crossed a word with anyone, no one except for Mathias Krimson.

Mathias was the sweetest girl you could find. She was like the doormat friend for most people, but for Nadia, she was a person to protect, she was as fragile as a porcelain doll.

Mathias «Kelly» Krimson... short and black hair; really soft and well cared, Asian chocolate eyes, really pale skin; you could think she might break just with looking at her, tall and thin.

After Chemistry class, she looked for her. She looked for her only friend. And when she found her, she gave her a really big and tight hug and a kiss on the forehead.

–How is my baby doing? – Nadia asked sweetly

–I'm fine – Kelly responded while she rubbed her eyes with her wrist. – Just a bit tired... Want to come over my house? Is Tuesday, momma cooks Carne en su Jugo today.–

–Who made you cry? – Nadia noticed Kelly was down... some asshole told her something...

–I'm ok Nadia... don't worry– She smiled poorly – is nothing.

Nadia knew something was wrong, even if it was the first day... someone would come and make Kelly feel bad, some way... somehow. And that was something that made Nadia really mad.

–Kelly... listen to me... you are a real girl, and if someone tells you otherwise... tell them to go fuck themselves.

–Nadia, don't you think that's kind of rude?

Nadia knew it was rude, but she couldn't let her be hurt. She was aware about Kelly's emmotional unstability. She cared too much about her. A lot.

–I know it is rude Kelly, but i care about you, you need to learn how to defend yourself.

–I know how to defend myself... I know martial arts, remember? –

Nadia simply sighed and left, took her phone and sent a text to her mom.  Going to her next class, being worried about everything, and being stressed out.

At her last class of the day, she noticed a new girl, chubby, cute, short...
