Maisy’s P.O.V
Today is the day, that I move school for the third time this year. However I know how it goes by now everyone stares at you like you have two heads and green slimy skin. To make it even worse people even want to make friends with you, seriously! The only thing I have on my mind is to get to the race track and continue with my running, which is the only thing I’m good at. One thing I plan on not doing is making any friends because when I do I will just have to leave them behind when my idiot father decides to move again and I can’t deal with all that emotional stuff.
I am now standing outside the hell hole that is called school. Some people actually like this place. Walking into the new, unfamiliar building that has such a familiar atmosphere I could already feel people looking and judging me. I walked straight to the school office not looking at or making any contact with anybody. There was a young lady sitting behind a computer, she looked up and smiled at me. She had a really pretty smile and asked with a soft voice “How may I help you?”
“I’m just starting out here. I’m sure my dad rang up to say I was starting.” I put on the nicest sweetest voice I could.
“What’s your name Sweetie?”
“Maisy Johnson.” She clicked the mouse a couple of times then handed me a few pieces of paper that was my schedule and a map. The first class I had was history, GREAT. First I had to go to homeroom for attendance. All I had to do was say that I was here and go to my next class.
I found my way to the history easily thanks to the handy map. When I walked in the class was empty. I’m early for a change. As I walked in I noticed a nerdy looking guy sitting at the teacher’s desk, must be a teacher’s pet or something. He looked at me pushing his big framed glasses up his face. He wasn’t that bad looking for a nerd with his mop of curly blond hair and small brown eye. Then he looked me up and down and snorted. Ok so he’s one of those guys, thinking he’s better than everyone. All good thoughts for that guy have vanished.
I walked to the back of the class and took as seat near the window on the left hand side of the room. Outside I could see an oak tree that looked like it was here before the school was. Everyone else came in about two minutes later. Thankfully no one sat at the desk next to me; I could not handle having to make awkward talk with anyone. The teacher was boring everyone going on about the French revolution when someone came in. I was too busy looking out of the window to even care who that person was.
“Move” a guy said to me but I paid no attention as I continued to look out the window. “NOW” he shouted well that was just rude. So I turned to look at him and pointed to the seat next to me and said.
“There is a seat right there for you to take so if u wouldn’t mind shutting up and leaving me alone.” I looked up at him hoping he would get the massage. Oh I wish I never looked up at that boy. No he’s not a boy he’s a goddess send from haven just to please the female population. He had the most perfect face; defined jaw, the biggest green eyes and the softest looking pink lips. Oh how I could just taste those lip. Snap out of it Maisy remain calm. So I put on a blank expression and looked back out the window. I do not need to be thinking of a guy right now.
Jace’s P.O.V (about 10 minutes before)
“Jace, late again I see.” Principle Matthews stated. God how much I hate his man, I’m pretty positive he makes it his daily goal to piss me off. All I have to do is look at someone wrong and he will be jumping down my throat
“Obviously Matthews, it wouldn’t feel right if I was on time or should I even mention being early.” I said the last bit with a shudder; I’m really not a morning person. I do this all the time say the right things to tick him off. He just shook his head and walked off. Now do I go to history or not. I decided on going to history and as usual Mr Jones is writing some crap on the board that we should be coping down.
“You’re late Wilson.” He didn’t even have to look up to know that it was me because last face it I’m the only one that’s late for this stupid class.
“Detention at 4:20 I’m guessing” he nodded so I turned around and noticed someone was sitting in my seat. How dare they sit there, everyone knows that is my seat.
I sit there in every classroom. Walking closer I could see that the person is a girl even though she is looking out the window and I couldn’t see her face. But I could see she had long brown hair that fell to about her waist. “Move” I said nicely so that I wouldn’t frighten her. The girl didn’t move a muscle or make an effort to stop looking out the window, how rude. “NOW” I decided to shout as if she’s going to be like that then I would too, no more nice guy. That got the attention from others around me.
“There is a seat right there for you to take” she said pointing to the seat next to her. “So if you wouldn’t mind shutting up and leaving me alone.” She really doesn’t want to be nice does she? Then she looked at me and wow those eyes, there were the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. They’re bright blue and I could stare at them for days but she had a different idea as she turned her head back to staring out the window. No I wanted to see her eyes again. I reluctantly took the seat beside her in the hope she would look at me.
Right now I’m in shock for two reasons; one the way she spoke to me, no one ever speaks to me like that and I think I like it. Two her eyes they remind me of a clear blue sky.
“So petal” I said trying to start up a conversation. I really wanted to know her name. She still didn’t look round. Well she is rude.
“It’s Maisy, not petal” she replied. Ok so she doesn’t like pet names. What a way to piss her off and I kinda like the name ‘petal’.
“Nice name petal, I’m Jace” now she turned around and gave me the biggest death glare. She’s not up for a chat then so I didn’t try any more but I did spare her a couple of glances. The period seemed to fly by and soon enough it was over. If Maisy was like every other girl in this school or anywhere for that matter she would be trying to flirt with me and ask me to walk her to her next class, but no she stands up and walked off, without even sparing me a glance.
I went off to find my friends. On the way to them I stopped by my locker to drop off my history book. When I got there I noticed Maisy was at her locker just a few feet down from mine so I winked at her when she spotted me and she rolled her eyes. How cute.
Just then then Amy strolled over to me and put her arm around my neck. “Hey Jacey” she said. God how much I hated this girl but what can I say she knows how to keep me happy but then she knows how to keep all boy happy. A thought popped into my head when I saw Maisy look over at us, I kissed Amy and not just a small kiss either.
I don’t even know why I did that, why do I even care she sees me kiss another girl, I kiss a lot of girls all more meaningless than the last. Amy tried to deepen the kiss but when I saw Maisy walk away I pulled away from Amy. She looked a little disappointed and pouted like a small child wanting a sweet. Sometimes she actually makes me want to be sick, only sometimes though.
“Meet me after school, at the same place as last time.” I whisper in her ear. What can I say a guy has needs. With that I walked away to find my boys.
