I failed at getting Their attention. Normally, I would let Them know once I had heard enough. But tonight, They wouldn't listen. It's like They wanted me to hear what They were saying, because it might be important somehow, sometime in the future.
I stopped trying to get Their attention after a few minutes, though it seemed like hours. But They realized once I lost interest, and started screaming, trying to get my attention. I ignored Them, and fell sleep.
After a few minutes of the nicest sleep I had in six years, I work to jerking an awful smell. And it was coming from my brother. Evan leaned over me with terror in his eyes, something he never had. This terror meant something that was not of this world.
I am mediately asked what was going on and was already out the door before he had an answer. My physical self had no idea what was going on or why I had gotten up so quickly. But my instincts tell me that something was wrong with Devan. And boy was I right.
