I shuffle back towards the door trying to get out without the creature knowing... I held my breath and tip-toed trying to be as quiet as possible...
I got killed last time because I was stupid enough to draw its attention. The only way to get out of this room is to discreetly slip out without making any sound...
I slip my pocket knife into the crack between the wall and the door successfully opening it and softly closed it behind me. I latch it from outside. I then hide behind the bush and wait for the other one to come. Soon enough, as expected, another of his kind came. There was a small bundle in his hand. I got curious. This was not there in my previous dreams... The creature unlocks the door and goes in. I wait for a few minutes and just as I am about to leave...I hear a wail, "Noo!! Please!! No! I will do everything you ask me to! Please! Don't eat me! Have Mercy!"
Sweet Mother of Llama! They had brought in a little girl... For a fraction of a second, I debated leaving the little girl alone in this mess. But then I remembered that once I was a little girl too and I needed saving too.
He. He saved me. Saved me and then abandoned me for fend for myself... Fucking prick.
Anyways I had made up my mind to do all I can for that little girl.
I looked around the house. Tall trees surrounded the cabin. It was built right in the middle of nowhere. I went towards the back of the house, desperately trying to search for a weapon.
The most likely thing I can find here would be an ax. I have seen the Snarky teeth#1 bring in chopped woods to heat the cauldron which was filled with some bubbling liquid.
I inwardly smiled as a glint of silver caught my eye. The ax!! I quickly pulled it from the tree stud and went to the front door. I leaned into the door and could hear the girl sobbing. A quick wave of relief went through my mind.
She was still alive.
I nervously clutched the ax, tightening my grip on the handle, my hands already turning sweaty. I took a breath and knocked on the door. I pressed myself against the wall as I heard a shuffle of feet and a grunt. The monster opened the door and looked out.
I didn't move. I didn't breath.
I raised the ax above my head and swoosh! I decapitated the creature in one go. Black goo splattered all over my face.
Ew gross...
My stomach clenched over the sight before me. I stepped over the body and entered the room. I saw the little girl. She looked like an angel. Blonde hair, white dress, and beautiful sparkling grey eyes.
How could a sweet soul like her end up in a place like this?
I slowly took a step towards her and raised my hands to show I meant no harm. I pointed my finger at me and then at her. The girl slowly nodded. I turned and walked out of the door.
She followed, her shadow casting in front me.
My eyes widened in horror as I saw the shadow growing bigger in size and claws coming out of the once-little palms.
My breath hitched in my throat as I heard an animalistic growl behind me. It all came down on me. Two creatures went inside and I killed one, the other one was still alive...
Without a second's delay, I ran.
Tripping over stones, branches scrapping my arms and face, I ran for my life. I had no idea how to get out of this situation. My breathing got labored. I could no longer hear the creature. I hid behind a tree, sliding down. I regretted leaving the ax behind.
How could I forget that these are fucking shapeshifters ?!?
They could have killed the girl and just imitated her to lure me in. Trying to catch my breath. I curled up into even a tighter ball
*crunch*
I suddenly stand up and twist around to look where the sound came from.
Too late...
The creature is right in front of me...It takes a huge leap and slashes at my chest. I fall backward in the dry leaves. It bites into my neck as I scream out in agony. I could hear my scream echo through the forest. I could feel my warm blood running down my body, I could feel the creature's teeth and tongue on my neck. It was unbearably painful...
Pain taking over my consciousness, I lay there fading in and out with the canopy of trees over my head and a monster feeding on me... Its skin morphing into my face. I finally feel myself fading away. The last thing I see is my own self biting into my flash.
"This was not how I was supposed to die."
