(*Burningwillow*- this story was based off a dream I had through another person's eyes and is meant to be a short story. I hope you all enjoy my first story. ; ) )

I watch the T.V. intently as I put the boxes of various Ice skating merchandise out for display. The news reporter was too quiet for me to hear but the subtitles were all I needed. The staticy T.V. was inconsistent in its broadcast but the small plaza of the mall I worked in.

"Cammy! Stop dallying and set up the damn display already!!!" The television is quickly shut off by my boss Marcus. A gruffy muscular man who was in charge of the small gift shop within the skating parlor of the community's mall.

"Sorry Marcus." I let out a sigh as I continue to place the figurines of Yuri Katsuki and Victor Nikiforov onto a small table next to a sign that read,

"Watch the story of Yuri Katsuki and Victor Nikiforov LIVE!!!

Only here at Mr. Freeze's Chilly Wonderland skating rink."

I sighed at the cheesy advertisement, implying that we had an actual ice rink or even a skating rink. All customers take their roller skates and head to the gated area within the plaza of the mall. It was honestly hard to think of the excitement and work when things at home were getting hectic. This job managed to help mom and my sister but, even with the money she put into college, I couldn't help but panic internally about the future debt. College was readily approaching and honestly, I'm not ready to say goodbye to this town. Boring as it may be, I love everyone here. No matter who they were, they were all I knew. Most of all my family was who I would miss most of all, her after school cooking, gaming with my younger sister, and the way my friends told jokes.

"Excuse me?" I was abruptly interrupted by my emotional turmoil by a small voice. I turned to see a small boy pulling my pants leg with big innocent deep blue eyes. He was an adorable boy with plump rosy cheeks and button nose. He wore a seemingly homemade shirt of Victor and Yuri's names.

"Yes how may I help you?" I say in a sweet tone as I kneel down to be at eye level with him. He looks into my face with awe as he reaches for a strand of my hair.

"Wow! You have long pretty hair, just like my papa used to have." I gave him a questioning glance accompanied by a smile as he plays with my silvery locks. His eyes then fill with a sparkle as he gets closer to my face and examines my eyes.

"Your eyes are like papa's too but, yours are pretty and look like blue toothpaste! And he doesn't have boobies." At this point, I couldn't contain my laughter at his innocent comments, though I was a little embarrassed that he was a cheeky boy and looked at my chest. As I felt the heat rising to my cheeks from a blush, I felt his warm hands on my cheeks as he begins to giggle with me. His giggles soon became a fit of laughter.

After we both regain composure I asked, "Where is your papa now?" He calmed himself enough to put a tiny finger to his cheek as he thought of his answer.

He finally said, "They said they were gonna go to shopping and then to the show." He then looks to the poster and points at it with a determined face.

I begin to worry as I suspect he doesn't even know where his dads are. I then try and re-approach the question with a bit of a friendlier base. "Ok, well my name is Chamomile but, call me Cammy. What's yours sweety?" he looks to me once again and smiles widely as he answers, "My name is Nikolai!" his joyous tone rings as it fills the space around us.The role of his tongue made me question his ability to enunciate words at his age.

My thoughts are interrupted by the clicking of stomping sneakers against the mall's tile floors. A blonde haired teenager about a few years younger than me walks up behind the boy. He looked like he was pissed and was ready to yell. Nikolai turns to see him and immediately starts to run towards him hugging his legs as he screams "Uncle tiger!!!" the teenager then pushes Nikolai behind his legs and faces me with a stern look as I stand to meet his eyes.

"Oi! bitch. Don't talk to the kid got it?" my eyebrow twitched at his rude demeanor.

"E-excuse me?" I stammered as I tried not to get angry at a customer. As it was store policy. "Don't talk to him or I won't hesitate to punch you." His words dripped with venom as he spoke.

I was about to say something until I felt a stern grip on my shoulder. It was Marcus's hand urging me not to full out lose my temper.

"Cammy child, I think you should go and get ready for the show, I'll take it from here." Marcus's tone wasn't angry but instead cautiously caring. As I turned to leave I heard Nikolai's voice call to me.

"I'm sorry Cammy. Uncle Tiger is an angry kitty." I look to see Nikolai wave his little hand at me. His "uncle" had a face mixed with anger and confusion as he looked at Nikolai. I then wave to Nikolai before I disappear into the dressing room at the back of our rental shop.
