The various voices behind me and Mochi were screams mixed with a bunch of hollering questions and accusatory remarks.
How did Victor see you? -s he here now?-You know where he is!-No normal worker would get noticed if that were the case!-Is that Yuri Katsuki?- They ate both here!?!?!-they are getting away!!!.
Skating was tougher on my legs now that I was tired, Mochi got a respectable lead and I was beginning to fall behind to the pool of violent praise and hate. Thankfully working with Marcus gives me my salvation. I knew every hiding spot and quick escape route that every shoplifters has ever tried to pull on us in the souvenir shop. I just needed get a jump on the crowd.
The opportunity came when I spotted a split in the hallways leading out of the plaza. I knew I wouldn't have been able to make it back to Marcus's shop without a mob trying to cut him down so I needed to slip back into normal clothes without being noticed.
I passed by various shops until I find the one I was looking for, it was Francesca's Beauty Parlor but she had neglected to put away all the Victor pop up stands. By dumb luck this was my chance to escape the angry mob.
I immediately gain a burst of energy and use whatever strength I had to keep me up right as I skate straight into the sea of Victor posters. I zoomed to the darkest part of the store and then strike a pose amongst the old images of Victor's teen years. I try my best to breathe lightly as footsteps become audible as they near to the shop, even if my lungs begged for long gulps of air.
A group of girls were the first to reach the dim lit shop's doors. Various buttons and flags adorned their jackets and backpacks; one seemed to be wearing cat ears along with a blue rose flower crown, much like the one that was pinned to my hair.
"Where did the actor go?" one of the girls spoke, she had slightly dirty blonde hair and wore glasses.
"They are probably hiding in the store." Another one said. She also wore a flower crown but with red roses.
"Your probably right. Let's check it out."
"Is that even allowed? What if security catches up and finds us?"
"That doesn't matter if a possible connection to Victor and Yuri is here."
I listened to the red flower crown and the blonde speak and look onto see that the rest of the crowd had dissipated and gave up the chase; with the help of mall security. The muscles relaxed for only a split second as the thought of the gigantic crowd disappeared from the corners of my mind but the thought of the girls coming closer and picking me off like vultures for their questions worried me. And seeing that they were obvious superfans, only god knows what would happen if they found out that I knew nothing about Victor or Yuri's where abouts. . .almost instantaneous death.
They began to walk into the store, the blonde searching hungrily with the luminescent light of her phone, the red crowned one trailing close behind as she tugs on the cat ear's sleeve leading the way deeper into the store. Cat ears seemed to be jittery and pulled out her phone to look at Instagram, for some sort of comfort.
They passed my hiding spot twice but, the blonde began to look in my direction more curiously. I breathe hitched slightly as she neared closer her phone light almost reaching my face. I stopped breathing completely and closed my eyes trying my best to look as pristine as the various posters. I felt as my sweat beginning to trickle down my back as i silently prayed for a miracle.
