"Are you serious?" Taehyung looks at you sternly, hands resting on either side of his waist as he looks at you walking around your designated room to search for your watch, stockings and what not.
Well why not? Of course you are ought to get prepared to join the new workplace where you've been gladly appointed to, by the most decent and humane person on earth aka Jungkook!
You and taehyung were equally surprised when he offered you to leave your current company in order to join his own.
Now you wondered if it was just Mrs. Jeon who wanted you to drop the idea of joining the Kim company, surely jungkook must have been knowing this too that's what his true intentions must have been.... to dominate you.
All of them are the same....
You barely slept last night, forget sleeping even blinking was a far cry for you since all you could do was nothing but thank your sister for saving you from getting married into such a household that sees women nothing more than objects one can control and play with.
You shake your head in disbelief, indeed jungkook had rather disappointed you, big time!
You remember the time when you two were still dating and he had only proposed you a day before, which happened about 3 months ago that is....
No wonder you were on cloud 9.
You had shared this with your parents and they seemed to have been all glee about your decision, too because since as long as they've known jungkook, he's been a gentleman in their eyes and giving their very precious daughter to a man of honor is every parent's dream.....
You recall the day when you two were out, randomly hanging out just a day after the proposal.

You two had decided to have milkshake for it was very hot outside,
Slurping and clicking selfies, jungkook had realized that you seemed a little bit off, he instantly places his phone on the table in front and looks at you intently as if you're the only thing present in the entire surrounding
"Hey.... You okay?"
You smile followed by an unamusing pout. You stir the straw and shake the milkshake foam, "kookie.... I wanna know something.... Answer me only if you're being honest alright?"
He frowns, being a little uncomfortable by the way you asked, "sure baby, what is it?"
"Jungkook.... As much as I'm cock-a-hoop about the whole wedding thingie.... I'm a little nervous too... I mean don't get me wrong but you see.. daughters are treated very dearly by their parents.... They are their mother's treasure... Father's pride" you say playing with your fingers
"They nurture their children with care and all the love that they can give but everything has a limit..... The daughters grow up and they finally have to take up a new role, a new life and become a part of a whole another environment. An environment where she's never been a part of, an environment which sometimes gives her joy and sometimes gives her dismay.... Every daughter expects that she lives a happy life after marriage... Good husband, bear him children who become good and responsible beings.
But everything shatters when she realizes it to be just a mere dream..."
You hold yourself in realizing that if you went on explaining any further you might burst crying
Jungkook looks at you, non-judgementally. He looks at you and empathizes with your condition, he understands upon how scared you were.
"Jagi.."
"I know this one relative of mine, kook and she had an arranged marriage and guess what.... Her life revolves around nothing but being dominated by her in-laws" you say interrupting him
"Y/n" he whispers as he gets up and walks over to walk over to your side as he sees you breaking down. He calms you down and tries his best to not let the public grab your attention and make you feel awkward
"Y/n-ah.... Look at me, baby" he says and you obey
"I would never let anyone harm you, whatever happens. You have my words! Be it whatever, whoever.... I'll break them if they dare touch you" he says as he wipes away your tears

Lies. How assuring he is with his words, you were a fool to fall for a fool.
Taehyung grabs your hand and pulls you towards him in order for you to face him, you hiss at the force.
"Taehyung! Careful!" You say minding your small belly to not get bumped into something
"Oh no! I...I'm sorry... I-I almost forgot for a minute that you were pregnant" he speaks frantically earning a chuckle from you because of his attempt
"It's okay...."
"Y/n are you really ready to resign and join that traitor's company??"
"Do I look like I have a choice?"
"Yes! You do! Let me call my attorney. He's the best!" He whines
"See, tae I myself am least interested in joining his company but" you take a huge breath before speaking again, "I have no alternative since we don't know what all he can do and besides the Jeon's are as much competent as you Kim's are so I'm pretty sure they have an attorney, too" you smile
"And I don't want to take any risk and raise my kid in jail"
"But you did not do anything!! How can he fake a corruption charge on you like that y/n?"
"That's what WE know tae.... The world doesn't..... He may spread rumors and I am least interested in being in the limelight. So..... If you excuse me" you say taking his leave to kickstart in your new workplace
