Dana sits opposite Stef and Lena at the dinner table where they are all sat playing with their salad while spinning their fork and messing around with the tomatoes and cucumber. Dana wants to talk to Stef but waits until she swallows her mouth full.

"So what do you do Stef?" Dana asks while cocking her head slightly to the left. Stef holds her index finger up indicating to 'wait a minute' while she covers her mouth with her other hand and finishes her mouth full of food.
"I'm a police officer" Stef replies while nodding and smiling at Dana. Lena sees Stef's fist clutched and rested onto the table. Lena lifts her arm from below the table and relaxes Stef's hand by holding it for reinsurance. Lena could tell it may have been too soon for Stef to meet her mother, but was there to comfort her.
"That's amazing, Lena where did you find her?" Dana asks Lena while laughing and smiling.
"She found me, and I'm glad" Lena looks at Stef smiling and gazing into her deep hazel eyes. She became lost in them. Lena was glowing and Dana could see she was happy.
"That's sweet, we will continue this conversation, but in the mean time i need to go to the ladies room" Dana walks upstairs and leaves Stef and Lena alone for a moment. They begin to clear the table and wash the dishes ready to head upstairs for bed.
"I'm so sorry if this has made you want to step back, I understand if you want to go" Lena turns to Stef waiting for a reply or maybe waiting for her to head out the door but hoping she doesn't.
"I'm not going anywhere, your mother is lovely" Stef reaches for Lena's hand and kisses her on the cheek, reinsuring Lena this time. Lena smiles and blushes. "Wait until you get to know her properly" Lena and Stef both laugh as they dry the dishes.
"What have I done to deserve you?" Lena smirks. Stef looks directly to Lena."I honestly don't know" Stef replies laughing and joking.
Dana walks back downstairs, "so wheres daddy?" Lena asks her mother as it rare seeing them apart. Lena and Stef carry on clearing the table and drying the dishes.
"He'll be here in the morning, he has a business thing and he's booking a hotel room tonight, anyway it's late, let's call it a night" Dana walks over to kiss Lena's forehead and says "goodnight baby" Lena smiles and replies: "goodnight mom"
Dana then walks over to Stef and hugs her tightly and comes across welcoming, Stef looks over Dana's shoulder at Lena as if to say 'I can't breath' but Lena smiles. She has never seen her mother so welcoming and sweet to any of her relationships. Dana starts to whisper in Stef's ear "your making my daughter happy, I can see it. Thank you" Dana pulls away from the hug and says goodnight before heading upstairs to the spare bedroom. She starts walking up the stairs and Lena and Stef talk.
"What did she say to you?" Lena enquiries with curiosity. Stef smiles and says "non of your business" while raising her eyebrows being sarcastic. She then walks over to Lena and pulls her waist into hers. She presses her forehead against Lena's and kisses her.
