It started of soft,
A light drizzle.
Nothing dangerous.
Pit,
Pat,
Pit,
Pat.
The mist was settling over the trees.
And then a flash.
In the corner of my eye.
And a BOUM followed.
The wind picked up,
The trees were falling.
And I screamed.
Thats's when I remembered my 10 year old sister,
Who had gone by the river to play.
And then,
Just like that,
The madness stopped.
But my sister was no where to be seen.
1 day.
They will find her.
They will.
1 week.
They will find her.
They will.
2 weeks.
They will find her.
They will.
1 month.
They will find her.
They will.
And they did.
I try not to remember her limp body.
I try to forget those cold eyes.
I try not to think about how she drowned.
But I can't stop thinking about how I could
Have saved her.
