"Hey Belly boo!" My best friend Taylor says, twirling around in her new green tank top. Her brown hair flittered around her, curled by her mom this morning; the top makes her light blue eyes look even prettier. Taylor and I have both had a crush on the same boy since August: Kayden Alex.He has dark brown hair, the color of dirt, paired with dark blue/ green eyes and already sharp features.
Ever since he beginning of pre-K he has been a charmer.
"Hey Tay! What did your momma say about tonight?" I follow up about our often plans every week, like a routine. We jump into our normal conversation: Kayden. It's less of a conversation and more of sitting on the swings discussing how cute he is while not so subtly watching him shoot basketballs with Easten, his best friend.
Recess was almost over, so I decided to share with her my new plan, which she was most likely going to hate.
"Hey Tay?"
"Yea?"
"I'm a lil bit sorry about this, but I was gonna hold Kayden's hand today while I'm waiting for my dad to pick me up..."
She didn't speak, but she looked blankly at the pile of rocks being built by Emma Peak. I knew she was going to be mad!
"Tay?"
That snapped her out of it.

"Fine. Just know that I will be playing with him tomorrow at recess and you can't say anything." She knew how to get to me, I may be young but my little blond head knew how to fight back.
"I'll kiss him"
That's all I needed to say.
"No you wouldn't! You're too scared!" Her bright blue eyes glistened, what was that? defeat? Jealousy? Anxiousness? Fear? Victory thinking I wouldn't do such a thing? A mix of all of it.
"Watch me." These little color changing, blue and green eyes, would finally capture his little 4 year old heart!

                                      ***
My little hands were sweaty. Taylor wasn't talking to me, so I was talking to Emma peak; I wasn't listening though. I saw my dads white car pull up into view during pick-up. Taylor looked at me, knowing I hadn't done it yet. There's my cue.

I stood up, walked over to where Kayden was sitting in my pink light up sketchers.
"Bye Kayden!!!" I leaned down and kissed him, straight on the mouth, his beautiful eyes wide and full of surprise. I skipped over to my dads car and got in.
"Hey sweet heart," my dad started, "we don't kiss boys yet, okay?" I giggled like any preschooler would.
"Okay daddy!" Only then did I look at my glaring best friend. Oh well, we would be fine tomorrow.

Hey guys! This is my first actual book and this is just a little look into their lives so far. This chapter was a flash back to their pre-K years. Bella and Taylor  are the best of friends And yes, years from this chapter, they are still friends and completely over it! Let me know what you think? I know it's a little short but they will get longer, don't worry!
