Alvin's POV
The day after I sealed my fate, Brittany and I went to get that 70% off gear. When we got to the store, Climbing Gear for Cheap, we were greeted by an old friend, Dillan.
" Welcome to Climbing Gear for Cheap, oh baby," he greeted happily.
" Hey Dillan, we're here to get some of your 70% off climbing gear," Brittany explained.
" Ah, nice choice, considering climbing gear is the main thing we sell, oh baby," he chuckled. Before actually buying the gear, Brittany and Dillan talked about it for hours. Feeling bored, I decided to take a look at the winter hats and coats. Conveniently, there was a red coat with a golden A on the front. Good old Dillan, always thinking of his friends. I took the coat off the rack and brought it to Brittany and Dillan, who were now talking about why we were here.
" I just talked Alvin into climbing Rainier," Brittany explained.
" Yeah, that's what I thought, considering Alvin has been getting lazier every day," Dillan let out a laugh.
" Hey guys, I found a pretty nice coat," I interrupted.
" Oh yeah, I made that one special for you," Dillan inspected the coat and scanned it, " Why don't you guys go check out the gear?" he added. Brittany nodded and picked out some gear and a coat for her. Realizing I should probably pick out my own gear, I headed towards the climbing gear section. I picked up a pair of goggles and tried them on. They fit pretty well. Brittany came up to me.
" Alright Alvin, I see you have goggles, but you need other stuff too," she told me, listing off all the equipment I would need. Once we finally had all the necessities for climbing, Dillan scanned them all.
" Good luck guys, oh baby," he waved as we walked out the door. If I was climbing a mountain for the first time, I'd probably need all the luck I could get.
