Dear Diary,
Today is the day of my retirement from Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, leaving it to my eldest child Rose and my Nephew George. I know that this would seem like an obscure decision to some, but I believe that By handing the business down to Rose and George I will finally be able to sleep at night knowing that the beloved shop is safe and guarded against Nargles and maybe the occasional pixie. ( from experience they are impossible to get out of the rafters.)
Tonight I am going to the leaky cauldron for a retirement dinner at 4:30 PM. I am so excited! I was promised a raging party that would go all night long! or at least until 8:00 PM. Hermione invited everyone I have ever known that isn't dead yet! I hope she invited Lavender Brown, I haven't seen her in years! I wonder how she's doing?
The party was a real hoot and a half! everyone I knew was there except Lavender Brown, I wonder where she was... I'll ask Hermione about it later. My favorite part of the night was when they all made toasts and said nice things about me. At the end of the night (8:30) it was hard to believe that I had finished my time in the workforce. it has been fun, running the joke shop with my Brother, daughter, and nephew. But sadly, as we all know every good thing must come to an end. Just like this story...
