I silently leaned against Aaron's chest, holding him close against me. The burning against my chest didn't concern me any longer, I just needed this one moment to last as long as it could. I sniffled and slowly pulled away from him, wiping away my tears.
"I-I'm sorry. That was a bit...uncalled for." I smiled bitterly and tried to avoid his silent stare. I looked up at him.
"See you ar-" My eyes widened at the tears gingerly falling off Aaron's cheeks. I tried smiling, to lighten up his mood a little.
"Hey...don't cry." I said as he slowly moved foward and caressed my blushing cheeks softly.
"Your smile...I've missed your smile so much." I reached up and slowly wiped away his falling tears and whispered
"You found me..." I smiled slightly as he tried to hold in a chuckle.
I watched his eyes slowly study my face, before slowly moving down my neck to my chest. He stopped as his blush deepened slowly. I looked down and saw that my necklace was burning brightly, so hot that it felt cold.
I backed away awkwardly and Aaron just looked at me.
"So...do you wanna take a walk?" He asked. I smiled and nodded.
The air was cold on my already burning cheeks. Aaron was humming softly as we slowly walked through the courtyard. My gaze wandered to my shoes, then up to Aaron, who was looking foward with a blank stare. I felt my cheeks get warmer as I slid my hands into my pockets.
I couldn't help but get a warm and fluffy feeling whenever I looked at him. Memories of my, no, our childhood together floated up in my memory and craddled my heart. I didn't love him right? No, I couldn't. He had a girlfriend, I saw it with my own eyes. I looked up at him again.
I'm not the type of girl who'd steal away the love of another...so why do I desperately want to hold his hand? I looked over to him once again, studied his features. He really did become beautiful didn't he? I slowed down my walk and watched as he got further away. He turned and looked back at me.
"Tay? You okay?" I blinked and looked at him.
"Oh, yeah I'm okay." I gave a slight smile before jogging up to him, continuing our walk.
I didn't love him...right?
