Tale Of A Lost Ghost

Chapter nine

Everyone sat in silence, not sure what to do or say. "Rose can call her neighbors, and tell them she's alright and the police don't need to be involed..?"

Carlyle rolled his eyes, " it sounds like someone is has her kidnapped and doesn't want the police to continue the missing persons case."

"I don't know.. I kinda like the idea" Spooker sat on the counter by Jackie and Ghost, leading back slightly and kicking his legs up and down.

"Uh, hey everyone" Rose entered the Room, gaining everyone's attention "I have to get go work soon "

"No problem, just say the time and when "

"that's not just it. I work at a local bar and For helping With this Case, I'd like you too come, and for.. The disappearance of your partner. All drinks and snacks are on me, I thankfully had my wallet in this coat" Rose smiled.

"Wait, why were you even wearing that coat that just so happened to contently have something so important as your wallet?"Carlyle crossed his arms and stared Rose down suspiciously.

"I was cold."
"Checks out with me!" Colon and Spooker commented in unison.
Ghost looked between everyone, unlike Everyone else, besides Carlyle, he wasn't so happy about going, a hour away from the Headquarters is a hour of not finding Where Toast was. But before he could say anything, a tiny purple light almost head peaked down from the calling

"can I come tooooo?" A small voice called out, it was a tiny Purple pinkish ghost.

"Hey Woah! " Spooker smiled, the tiny Ghost wooshed and swirled around Spooker, making him Giggle
"H-hey! Haha! That tickles!" The ghost stopped and looked at him. "And, I'm afraid not Woah, you might Scare the customers, Go finish your sandwich upstarts "

"Aw.. Okay.." And as quick as it appeared, it had vanished. Rose and Ghost were the only ones who seemed startles by this series of events.

"what was that????" Ghost looked around at everyone, then sharing the same confused glance with Rose.

"That's just our Ghost kid, Woah." Colon commented casually. As if it was normal, and too all of them at his point, it was.
"Okay then..  " Ghost went back to being quite, trying to process what had just happened.
"You know Rose, we'd love to go."

"Good! We should get going now then!" Ghost glanced over once more "now?! What about Phantom?!"
"Yep! Also no animals, sorry" Rose smiled at Ghost, giving him a playful wink, or maybe she was blinking, he couldn't tell since she had that curl covering her other eye. She skipped outside, Jackie happily followed behind her,Ghost groaned, setting Phantom down on the counter, with a tiny open packet of seeds incase he got hungry. then followed everyone else Outside.

"Wait, how are we all gonna fit in the car? " Ghost said snarkly.

"We have two cars" Carlyle commented. Spooker and Colon grabbed each other's Hands and ran into one of the vehicles. Jackie slowly reached for Roses hand, taking it slowly, "let's go to the one  those two aren't in. " And led Rose to the other car, opening the passenger side, then getting into the drivers seat.

"I want to drive" Carlyle got into the other Car that Spooker and Colon sat in the back seat of, Rei hopping into the passenger seat besides Carlyle. Ghost wasn't sure what Car to get in, he surely didn't want to be stuck besides Chris and Fred for a whole car trip, and he didn't know Rei to well, but neither did he know Rose to well.

"You! Come on!" Rose rolled her window down, sticking her hand out the window, and calling Ghost over with a single finger commanded.
"Oh What the hell" Ghost muttered, and crawled into the back of the Car Rose and Jackie and Rose were in.
"Sweet, didn't think my Finger commanded worked, especially on someone so Stubborn" she giggled at Ghost, he could feel his face slowly turn red, but from anger. He didn't want this women to think she could just call him around like a dog.Rose smiled, Turing around in her seat again, "I'll tell you where to go"

~time skip~

After getting into the bar, Rose snuck back into the staff room, after telling a coworker everything the group was getting would be payed by her later that night.

"Alcohol?"  Rei looked up at her larger Boyfriend.
"Yes, Alcohol, it's very bitter, is that what you want?"

"Farm I'm not even sure that'd give it too her, she looks Twevle." Jackie crossed her arms"in fact I don't even in oho she got in here!"

"Jackie, be nice." Ghost took a small sip of his beverage, he wasn't normal a drinker, but he felt after what's going on, a few drinks wouldn't hurt, he wants addicted as his partner was. Carlyle gave a glare to Jackie, then returned his attention to Rei "do you want to drink it? " Rei shook her head, Carlyle took a sip, but as soon as it came close to his lips, "alcoholll" Rei whined, making grabby hands, "here, take a sip of mine and see if you like it" Rei grabbed his beverage and took a sip, before making a funny face and shaking her head "gross!!" She shouted, Carlyle took his drink back "thought so.."

They  became so caught up in the bickering of each other that they didn't notice the tiny stage was now setup, and a performer even stood  on stage and was singing, it Was Rose.

"Father has a business, strictly second hand, every thing from tooth picks to a baby grand. Stuff in our apartment came from fathers store, even things I'm wearing, someone wore before"

Jackie nudged Ghost, smiling at him "listen" she whispered, and turned towards the stage.

"it's no wonder that I feel abused.. I never get a single thing that's new... I'm wear-ing, second hand hats, second hand clothes, that's why they call me Second Hand Rose."

"Second hand Rose..? Wait Rose is her name, how likely is it that you find a song with your own name in it?" Ghost whispered, instantly shoosed by Jackie

"Even our piano in the parlour, father got for ten cents on the dol-lar, second hand hand pearls, second hand curls, I never get a single thing that's newww"

Ghost looked over at Jackie, noticing how her cheeks were now Rosey red.

"Even Jake the Plumber, he's the man I adore. He had the nerve to tell me he's been married before." Ghost noticed Rose was looking at him while singing. And while she took her small break for air, she smiled arms gave him a small wave. He could feel  his face grow slightly hot, just because he wasn't a fan of her playful ways.

"Everyone knows, I'm just second hand Rose, from second avenue."
Rose finished with a small bow, and happily left the stage, Jackie clapped happily, cheering "oh she's beautiful..- uh- a- a beautiful singer..!" Jackie smiled,particularly thinking she played that off. "Don't you think she was good?"
"Sure" Ghost took another sip from his glass, soon finishing it. "I think I need another glass.."
