JOHN'S POV (Kind of a filler chapter but with a lot of drama :))
I woke up to 7 missed calls from Peggy. I rolled my eyes and tiredly grabbed my phone and called Peggy.
"Hello?" Peggy said, her voice quick.
"Hey." I groaned.
"I need to talk to you in person. Lunch today?" She asked.
I looked at my watch. 8:09am.
"Yeah, sure. Is it urgent?" I asked.
"Very." She replied.
Damn... Peggy's my best friend and I know her very well. She usually isn't the type of person to be involved in drama so this must've been very urgent.
"Okay... Louises?" I asked.
"Sure. 12. Gotta go." She said, then hung up.
That was weird. After that happened, there was a knock at the door. I didn't hear Alex, Laf or Herc get out of bed so that meant I was going to. Of course. I got up and tiptoed to the door. I opened it and stood there completely dumbfounded.
"Burr?" I said, slowly shutting the door.
He pressed his hand against the door to stop me from closing it.
"Yes, I know. Let me in." He said, his mouth still.
"Oh-okay?" I said, opening the door.
A tired and messy Alex walked into the room. Once he saw Burr, his eyes got wide.
"PLEASE HOLD, I'LL BE BACK!" Alex squealed and ran back to his and Laf's room.
"So... what are you exactly here for?" I asked Burr as he sat on the couch next to me.
"I heard that Alexander was interested in talking to me, so I came." Burr said, staring at the TV.
I nodded and took a sip from my beer bottle.
ALEX'S POV
I ran into Laf and I's room and opened my closet. I grabbed a nice, button up plaid shirt and jeans. I quickly got changed and rushed to the mirror.
"What are you doing, mon ami?" Lafayette asked, sitting up from his bunk.
I was at a loss for words.
"Living room... Burr-" I managed to say.
Lafayette rolled his eyes. "Burr?" He groaned.
I quickly nodded while brushing my hair. Laf flopped back into bed. I threw my hair into a ponytail and ran back out the door. Laurens and Burr were on the couch, Laurens sipping a beer and Burr watching the blank TV. Yeah... I don't know why either. I quickly approached Burr and stuck out my hand to shake.
"Nice to meet you, Burr. I am Alexander Hamilton. Such a pleasure to meet you." I quickly said.
He turned to me and slowly reached out his hand.
"Um, hello-" He started to say, while slowly shaking my hand.
"I've been looking for you! I know you attend college here and Princeton." I gushed, my eyes sparkling.
"I'm aware and I'm getting nervous..." Burr mumbled.
"Well, I knew you got a fast pass to graduation and it would be great to do the exact same so I wanted some advice from-" I started to ramble.
"Advice," He said, getting up from the couch. "I can give you some advice!"
I nodded and he threw his arm over my shoulder.
