Not in that Way (Ereri)

Chapter 2

"You cheated!! That wasn't even fair!" Levi shouted angrily and crossed his arms, a pout forming in his lips as he glared at the other male who was laughing in glee. Eren cheered and pumped his fist in the air, sticking his tongue at the smaller male who was glooming. He'd just won a round of Mortal Combat (again) and the other male couldn't take the loss.

"You're just jealous that I'm so good at this game~ and I wasn't cheating, I was simply... stopping you from winning" Eren grinned as the raven gasped and flipped him the middle finger. Eyes still narrowed into a glare as he grit his teeth, lips in a thin line.

"You fucking covered my eyes you asshole! I'm pretty sure that's called cheating!" Levi snapped, shuffling away as the other opened his arms and asking Levi to 'forgive him'. Like hell he would after the stunt he just pulled. "You don't deserve a hug from me you traitor"

Eren frowned playfully, eyebrows furrowing and he thought about using the 'puppy eyes' as Levi could never resist them, but decided for a more funnier approach. Eren gasped dramatically and fell back on the bed, hand coming up to clutch at his own shirt where his chest was and his breathing became heavier. "The rejection.... was too much..." he wheezed and reached a hand out towards Levi who was staring at him unimpressed. "Tell my family... I love them..." he sucked in a large gulp of air before falling limp, trying his hardest to hold his breath.

"What are you? 5 years old? Get the hell up you weirdo" Levi grumbled out but Eren didn't move. Levi waited a few more seconds but the brunette still didn't move so he moved forward slightly and poked his cheek. "Hey idiot, stop playing dead,you're taking up the whole bed so move the fuck over" but the other still didn't move. Levi shuffled closer to lean over him and in one swift movement, Eren had opened his eyes, reached out to grab a hold of Levi's forearms and flipped them over.

Eren grinned down at him with an evil glint in his eyes while Levi blinked away the shock. "You should've given me that hug before Lee.... now you'll have to face... the tickle monster!" And then started tickling the others sides.

Levi tried to hold it in but failed as he burst out laughing. He shoved weakly at the hands tickling him as he continued to laugh. He hated how he was ticklish and hated that Eren had found out. "S-stop it! How many t-times do I have to- hahaha- t-tell you to stop tickling m-me!!" The raven managed out as his face turned red from laughing too much.

Eren decided to give him mercy and stopped, leaning back to look down at the giggling mess sprawled on his bed. He couldn't stop his heart from beating slightly quicker from the sight before him, his face warming up. Levi's cheeks were flushed red and he was panting softly, laughing every so often and eyes closed. A lazy smile on his lips and hair a mess. He was adorable. It made Eren wanna scoop Levi up in his arms and pepper kisses on his face. But he couldn't.

His mood immediately went sour at the thought and his fond smile turned into a frown. Levi instantly saw the expression and he sat up confused. He tucked his legs under himself and tilted his head slightly, his cheeks still flushed but he'd calmed himself down. Though he made sure to keep his distance so the other would surprise attack him again.

"Hey... what's with the sudden frown?" Levi asked and Eren couldn't find it in himself to tell him it was because of him. Because he was jealous. Because his love would always be one sided. Because the other would never return his feeling. So instead he shook his head and smiled again.

"Nothing. Just that we have that stupid English assignment due in this week. I hate Mr. Dok so much but I have to admit that he is a pretty good teacher." Eren shrugged and Levi didn't seem to buy it though he shrugged and gave a nod in agreement.

"I can agree he's an ass. Yeah, he gave us 2 weeks for the assignment but I've  only finished half of it. And I've spent at least 15 hours on the stupid thing. It's ridiculous!!!" Levi groaned and fell back on the bed with a huff. Eren chuckled nervously and rubbed thee back of his head, trying not to make eye contact with the other male when he looked over. Levi narrowed his eyes and sat up.

"Hey Eren... you haven't shown me yours even though I've shown you mine about a thousand times..." Levi looked around, a frown curling on his lips. Glancing back at Eren who looked even more guilty than before, he raised an eyebrow "How much have you done?" he asked even though he already knew the answer to that.

"Um... I have... uh..." Eren didn't even know what to say. He had barely even started the assignment, and Levi hated when he didn't do his assignments because he ended up spending all night and morning on it before it was due on the day. In return, he was absolutely exhausted and Levi hated that. He was about to get his ass whooped.

"I.... have done the Introduction?" Eren tried, flinching at he dark look that quickly overcame Levi's expression and he flinched back. He held his hands up in surrender quickly whilst at yh same time also trying to protect his precious face from being attacked. "I'm sorry!!!!" He shouted quickly. He was surprised to see Levi sit back and smile at him.

"Well... at least you said sorry... you're forgiven" to say Eren was fucking shocked was an understatement. This had never happened before. Levi was usually on him already and Eren was screaming out in mercy. But instead the other male was blinking at him innocently.

"Wait... seriously... you forgive me?" Eren asked hopefully, a smile slipping onto his face as he relaxed. He sat up straighter as he stared at the other male who in return sent a small smile back. If Eren knew all he had to do was say sorry, he would've done it all those other hundred times.

Levi's soft expression suddenly turned dark and evil and there it is.

"Fuck no, you actually believed me? I'm must be a pretty good fucking actor" Levi chuckled before quickly jumping at Eren with a murderous glint in his eyes. "You fucker!!! What have I told you about doing this!?!?"

Erens screams of pain were heard by many but they'd gotten so used to it they really didn't give a damn.

~Small Time Skip to a few days later~

Eren held out his assignment towards the teacher who gave a small nod, took the paper and signed his off on the list. Eren sighed in relief and made his way back to his seat. Sitting down, he gulped as the small raven sitting next to him leant towards him and whispered.

"You ever do this shit again, I'm gonna make sure no one ever finds your body" and leant back looking bored as if nothing had happened. Eren felt slightly sick as he gripped his table tighter. He vowed to never ever leave his assignment to the last second. He'd rather finish his work earlier than face an angry Levi again.

In their next class which was Maths, they sat together again and the teacher turned around and smiled at all of them. Petra Ral has been a teacher here for over 5 years and had to be Eren's favourite as she was kind, never raised her voice and didn't really ever give them homework. She was also dating the Janitor who always bit his tongue. Eren swore he couldn't say a single sentence without biting his tongue. And Eren believed the other hated him because he was always acting macho around him and trying to intimidate him. It might've worked, except the tongue biting was down right hilarious.

"Okay, I'm hoping all of you have done the homework I set you guys" she said and Eren froze. What homework? When were they given homework? Was he here when she gave it? Oh no. He glanced slowly over at Levi who didn't look fazed and open his book and there were about four pages worth of homework. Eren wanted to die. He couldn't quickly copy all that in 5 minutes.

He gulped when Levi glanced over at him and raised an eyebrow. Seeing his panicked expression, he sighed and brought out more papers out of his bag and pushed it towards Eren. Eren sighed in relief and when Ms. Ral came over and grabbed the papers from both of them, she wasn't surprised that they both did their work.

"You guys always do your work, I'm proud" she said and walked away. Eren was silently praying. Thank every god there that they had given him this perfect being sitting right next to him.

"Next time do your-"

"Thank you! You're my hero" Eren cried out and threw his arms around Levi. He tugged the smaller male closer and fake cried. "You're a blessing" he dragged out his words and Levi struggled in his arms.

"Let go of me you insufferable brat!!!" Levi squirmed and Eren tightened his grip around him.

"I will never let you go! You're mine" Eren grumbled and everyone around them continued to stare forward. Everyone was already used to their bickering. Though many had to stifle their laughter as they heard a faint thud and Eren whining in pain.
