you're the dam
that controls the waterways that are my tears.
you are the strongest light
that pulls me out of the dark.
you were the blanket
that was missing from me for so long.
but came into my life when I needed you the most.
you've finely stitched every shattered piece of my broken heart back together with care,
for the string that you stitch with
is the only one that can keep my heart together.
