Hello Everybody, thanks for checking out my work. I apologize for the Background photo not being anything remotely related to the IzukuXMomo pairing. I don't have an artistic bone in my body and I don't want to use someone's work without their permission so we are stuck with that lovely photo for now. If you are or know anyone who might be interested in helping, leave a comment down below. They would get credited for their work in upcoming chapters. P.S.-I am gonna refer to the ship as DekuMomo for 2 reasons:1-The term is the easiest for me to write and 2-I like it. By the way, if you haven't already, check out Zedref. They have fantastic DekuMomo content. Alright, enough banter. LET'S DO THIS!!

I DO NOT OWN MY HERO ACADEMIA OR ANY OF THE CHARACTERS. I JUST WANT TO WRITE A ENTERTAINING STORY----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Calming shades of orange have faded away from the edges of the blue sky. The Sun has departed from the horizon as another day begins in Musutafu, Japan. The morning traffic is in full swing, the city bursting with renewed vigor. As the morning commute continues, one can find a small ball of messy, dark-green hair running along down a quiet street.
This shrub of a haircut is owned by Izuku Midoriya: The hero fanatic, the human personification of a cinnamon roll, the undeniable Best Boy.
Izuku could barely believe what had happened over the past year. He had nearly died from suffocation after being attacked by the sludge villain. He was then saved by All Might, the Number 1 Hero, the man he has idolized for his entire life.
As a kid, He worshiped the man like a god, his bedroom plastered with any possible merchandise with the faintest similarity to the hero. All Might posters? Izuku had nearly all of them in mint condition, framed on his walls and properly stored in his closet when he couldn't hang anymore. All Might clothes? He had every T-Shirt, Sweater, Long sleeve, Shorts, Pair of Socks, Hat, and Jacket in varying colors with his size and one size larger so he had a back-up if he grew out of his current size. The Elusive All Might Figurine from the "All Right, All Might!" Sitcom that was canceled when a group of villains broke in mid-recording to kill All Might, failing to do so but causing so much damage to the set that the Director gave up and quit television forever? He has it sitting proudly on his desk.
All Might was the personification of Izuku's dream. His presence alone was enough reason for most villains to surrender without protest. All Might was the Symbol of Peace, the ultimate force of justice and hope. Since his debut, he has reduced crime in Japan tenfold and has become a source of inspiration to heroes from past, present, and into the foreseeable future. He seemed to possess unfathomable strength in his gargantuan body, even for the current standards of the super-human society. Possessing the power to take on any foe with little to no difficulty certainly helps one become a fantastic hero.
However, that is not the reason that All Might has been able to gain and hold the title of #1 hero, at least not to Izuku Midoriya.
No, Izuku thinks the reason that All Might is the greatest hero, the Symbol of Peace, is because of his smile. A smile that would remain unchanging in face of any weather, obstacle or foe. A smile striking fear into the hearts of those with foul intentions and giving hope to those who need it the most. A smile that made him seem Unconquerable. A smile that says "It's fine now. Why? Because I am Here...."
Which is why All Might's truth shook Izuku to his core.
The truth that All Might's seemingly invulnerable persona that he showed to the world was just that; a persona. A facade that he can only hold for a few hours a day, before returning to his true form: a walking corpse. All the muscles he is famous for seemingly evaporate from his body, leaving his skin to cling to his bones. His classic V-haircut, crumbling into two jagged and frayed bangs that droop to his shoulders. The Hero's shallow eyes sink deeper into the skull, the only evidence of their existence being bright blue pupils piercing the darkness, radiating the conviction of a hero. The smile that could calm Izuku in his most frantic moments being reduced to a thin line cutting along his triangular jaw, no longer able to hide the hero's fears.
