If you are a Muslim and it is prayer time right now, STOP READING AND GO PRAY.
****Layla was praying Quran when she heard a soft knock on the door, she invited the person In. It was her older brother, Ibrahim.
She put her Quran away and gave him a questioning look. Wondering why he came at this time of the morning. It was very unusual. He set besides her and asked how she was. After all the greetings, she asked him why he had come.He told her that he had come just to make sure she was fine. This made her heart warm.
Since their father past away, Ibrahim had been very affectionate with every one. It seems like he had taken after his father. Their father was a very affectionate and caring man.Layla excused her self and went to get dressed for college.
She wore a blue maxi dress and wore a white scarf neatly around her head.To match it, she wore a pair of white heels.
She applied light make up. She opened up her Windows and called the maid to clean up.
Running to the kitchen, she grabbed a granola bar and looked at the time.It was 7:20 Am.
Layla left for college in her sleek black hummer. She came to a halt when she saw a terrible accident in front of her.
"Yarabbi!" (o my lord) she exclaimed, frightened.
The road was blocked. In the mean time ,she waited for the police to come and clear the road since this was Abu Dhabi, the service was fast the police were here in less than 20 minutes and it took them 10 minutes to clear the road. Layla went on with her journey. Once she entered the school parking lot , she paid for the VIP tickets in and she parked her car. With a determined look, she entered the college.Ibrahim POV
It was very quiet and I guessed Layla had left for college. It was 8:00am when I went down for breakfast. I saw mother sitting there on her own. "Asalamualaykum Ummaya." I greeted while placing a kiss on her forehead. Mother looked up at me and she answered with a nod and a warm smile. I knew some thing was wrong. Mother wouldn't just nod. So, I set on the chair beside the chair she was sitting on. I asked what was wrong she told me she was worried about Layla. "She is in college and she is planning to work after she is done with college." my mother explained.
"But I am worried how she would work and live for her self since you are engaged and soon will get married ."she spoke sadly.
I told her to calm down.Things will be okay and I would talk to Layla.
Layla never thought of getting married so soon she said she was only 22 and was too young.
But she was right! she was too young.
I wouldn't want to give my young sister away so soon.
I looked at my mother and asked. "Ummaya don't you think she is too young?" She looked at me astonished.
"Laa habibi she isn't, she is at the right age."
I didn't want to argue and nodded. I asked whether Laila made the tea or mother did .She said she did.
I stood up to pour my self a cup of tea when she put a hand on my shoulder and stood up as well.
" ijlis habibi . (sit my love) let me serve the food for you."
I set down and fell deep in my thoughts.
how would it be with out Layla around? she brings life to this house. Just when she left the house for college it was so quiet. How would it be if she got married ?
I love my young sister too much to let her go so soon. She is my baby sister. I would never let anyone hurt her. She is so fragile. Any little thing could shatter her.
My thoughts were interrupted when my mother called me to sit on the dining table. I stood up and went to eat my breakfast. After I was done with breakfast, I informed my mother that I was leaving and kissed her forehead. I hastily went to the living room to pick up my pistol. I carefully put it on the left side of my waist.Layla POV
It was 1:20pm when I got home. I parked my hummer and and got out of it when I saw Ibrahim's white E500 Mercedes-Benz I knew he was home. With that thought I entered the house and to the right was the living room where my mother and brother set. They looked very stressed. My steps faltered.
I walked up to them to greet my mother and kissed her forehead.
then, I left for my room. Entering my room I placed my bag on the bed and placed my phone on the night stand.
I collapsed on the bed letting out a sigh of relief.
My exams were coming up. Ill have to study as well. With that in mind, I closed my eyes and let sleep over come me.I woke up later on to pray my dhuhur. After, I flopped on my bed and waited for my uncle to come.
"Yaya yaya!" My little cousin Jamal screamed on top of his lungs. He began jumping on me.
My eyes lit up as I saw the two year old prince getting all jumpy.
I picked him up and started tickling him.
"My princeeee!" I exclaimed with excitement. I love children especially this one.
Uncle Fahd walked in the room and sat with us.
"How are you habibti?" He asked softly.
"Alhamdulilah." I said in the same tone.
Uncle Fahad has gone through so much pain. His wife ran away after giving birth to this little angel.
He took care of Jamal and loves him to bits.
They come home and spend the day with us. Sometimes Jamal sleeps with me. Uncle Fahad was here to discuss the date of Ibrahim's weeding.*************************************
