As my eyes focused on rank 3, my eyes widened. I reread the name for about a hundred times before I shouted and jumped for joy. Today is just full of surprises! I stood from my study table and made my way to my bed in which I stood in and jumped up and down.

"Oh my lord! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" I shouted, jumping up and down in my bed while laughing hysterically. I must've done something pretty good in my past life to have deserved this. I have to call my mama!

I jumped down from my bed and reached for my phone and dialed my mother's number which I know by heart.

Ring Ring Ring

"Ree? How're the results?" My mother's voice boomed from the line. Well, Hello there.

I laughed at my mother. The suddenly, like a hormonal teenager, tears poured from my eyes and my voice cracked as I said, "Ma, I passed! I fucking passed!"

"Oh, my! Thank the heavens!"

"Not only that ma, but I ranked 3!" I shouted excitedly. I couldn't help it. My family and I waited for this day to come. I spent countless of sleepless nights for this result. It actually paid off!

My mom and I talked more for a few minutes before I decided to end the call. Overseas calls cost so much these days. I sighed. Nevermind, after this day, I wouldn't worry so much about money anymore. I'll get lots of job offers and I can finally pay all of our family debt and buy a house, a car, bring my family here in New York and everything will finally be perfect. Maybe not perfect, but definitely a better one.
