The moonlight flooded the scene, bringing tranquility and peace to the wreckage. The quiet rumble of dirt collapsing into the hole filled the air. Suddenly, a loud gasp broke the silence.
"I'm finally free!" the mysterious man exclaimed, his face lighting up just like the Moon.
He clenched his fist to verify his new claimed body, eyeing the massive hole he'd drilled into the Earth on impact. The man stood up, swaying back and forth as he tried to find his balance in the new environment.
Just when he was about to take his first step, the hairs at the back of his neck rose. A sense of uneasiness washed over his body.
"Brother, we have found a new heart!" said another voice, joy filling up his tone.
The stranger leaped backwards, intensity and bloodlust suddenly filled the calm, moonlit night. "What do you want from me?" the man demanded as he summoned a scimitar made from gold.
The scimitar slowly formed out of thin air. Strange markings were etched into its blade. Immediately grasping it, he readied himself for a possible attack.
The man gripped the handle of his weapon, releasing glorious and bright blue flames that lit up the night. His face was filled with terror as he caught a glance of the strangers, the Seven Princes of Hell.
"We want your heart, Sirius," one of the princes said, his beautiful features competing with the Moon.
"Well, you won't get it." He lifted both of his hands and gigantic rocks from the wreckage flew towards his enemy.
The seven princes all vanished from thin air, like a bubble that just popped. The rocks turned to the dust once they made contact with the ground.
Sirius clutched the handle of his weapon again. The bright, blue flame from his scimitar lit up the entire hole. He intensely looked for the princes, but he saw nothing.
"Come show yourselves and face me! I, the brightest star and the greater dog of the Canis Major. I, who held guard for the Orion for thousands of years will grant you divine justice!" Sirius held his scimitar pridefully in the air.
"You'll be sacrificed for a greater cause." A sharp sound suddenly filled the air, a spear travelling towards his direction with great haste.
Sirius stomped his left foot on the ground. A beam made from rocks appeared from the earth, protecting him from the projectile. The spear pierced the beam deep that halted its progression.
He leaped from the beam and released a roar. From a great height, he descended with his scimitar burning. The blue flame from his weapon danced gracefully as Sirius made his way to one of the princes.
The prince summoned a blade out of thin air. The black blade formed in his grasp, his weapon parrying the assault of the star. The air around them sizzled as if the surrounding was feeling the pressure.
The bright, blue eyes of his enemy glinted with mischief. A devious smirk appeared on his crimson, red lips; his beautiful features forming a victorious grin.
Seconds after, Sirius writhed in agony and pain as one of the princes grabbed him by the neck. His concentration wavered, making his weapon disappear. Sirius desperately thrashed in mid air trying to break free from the tight grip.
He clutched the wrist of his enemy but his strength was not enough. He refused to give up though as he closed his eyes and summoned all the astral energy left in his being.
"You won't get my heart, vile creatures," Sirius replied, gasping for air.
His body lit up and along with it, so did the humongous hole in the ground, making the seven princes hiss. The light competed with the brightness of a supernova. The grip on his neck tightened, making him flinch in pain.
"He's destroying his body! Act quick now!" one of them said, panic surging in his voice.
Sirius smirked. If he was going down, these creatures would go with him. Any feeling of achievement was lost when a sword suddenly pierced his back..
Trails of crimson blood came out of his mouth along with a silver tear that rolled down his cheek. He coughed up blood in the arms of his killers when a clawed hand reached for his heart.
The still warm and beating heart lay resting in the hands of the vile creature.
"Brothers, redemption is upon us!" the demon cried as he lifted the heart high up in the moonlit night.
The majestic wings of the prince with the most beautiful features out of them, ruffled the air around the hole as he rose them up proudly in the dirt. The dead body of the mysterious man fell to the ground, releasing a loud thud.
"All hail, the son of the morning!" one prince cheered.
"All hail, the son of the morning!" all of them cheered in unison.
