“Hangovers are a bitch, and to those who didn't have hangovers from last night, fuck you.  I was woken up with the noise coming from the kitchen, and shoving my head under the pillow didn't help. When I opened my eyes to blinding light, my first thoughts were who the hell was up at 8:00 in the morning? I'll shoot them. About a half an hour later I pushed myself out of bed because the commotion in the kitchen never ended.

I could have crawled to the kitchen, I’m pretty sure it would have been easier than walking. I could tell it was Adrian in the kitchen by the way he grumbles about how our coffee maker makes our coffees more water than coffee. Okay that didn’t make any sense.   I peered into the kitchen and he was dressed in waiter clothes, I forgot to mention he works at a café, around the corner from here. He likes it just because he can pick up girls left and right.  I watched as he tossed cup into the sink and huffed. You think his life has just come to a halt by the look that he was wearing. One thing I should warn you, he is a complete coffee addicted, this would be the first cup of coffee of many, okay usually one of six or seven in the next five hours. I know so unhealthy, but what can I say, some people are addicted to drugs, cigarettes, alcohol, his addiction just happens to be caffeine.

“You know the rest of us are trying to sleep, you can have a fight with the coffee maker another time. “ I grumbled. He just glared for a moment, trust me you don’t want to get him angry when he hasn’t had real coffee in the morning. He can make even the most patience person in the world Miserable.  But it’s me.  I picked up a spoon off the counter and flung it at him.  My aim was terrible he didn’t even have to move, but it annoyed him.

“Terrible aim as ever, no wonder why Kairi kicked you off the softball team last month. Now pick it up, I have work. By the way, our rent do next week.” He muttered the last of it and walked out. Funny he seems to never really get angry with me.

When he slammed the door to the apartment I flung myself on the hammock in what supposed to be the living room and closed my eyes. I figured If my headache is bad then everyone else’s should be terrible. I must have fallen asleep right after I closed my eyes because when I woke it was quite a few hours of later. What startle me awake was the creaky door opened and closed to the bathroom. Then minute later someone was standing over me. I opened my eye slightly and groaned “What”.  It was Aido’s younger brother Tori, he held a class of water half full and I figure Advil in his other hand.

“Don’t be so grouchy, any ways Jesse and Caitlin are outside waiting for you, they said you promised to hang out with them, I guess for some kind of shopping.”  He sighed, his didn’t like the Torre’s family that much. Especially Jesse, who gave Tori so much grief over dying his hair electric blue.

“They shouldn’t be here till 3:00” I closed my eyes again and sighed. I figured at that point it was like 12:00 or something.

“Um well... its 3:30” he said in an almost childlike tone.

This made me sit up “no it can’t be I was up at 8:00 then laid on the couch for a bit. There’s no way that many hours passed by.”  I looked at the VCR clock and jumped out of bed.  “ Holy Shit, why didn’t u wake me up?”

He laughed, with a slight shrug and walked out of the room “She’ll be out in a minute.”

I tossed on jeans and a tank top, a sweatshirt and headed out “sorry guys, I fell asleep, I guess. Pretty sure Adrian put sleeping pills in the coffee.”  I glanced up and groaned, I should have known that Mia would be following Jesse.

“It’s no problem, I had to pull her out of bed this morning any ways. Hey I thought Crystal would come with us. “He looked around me to make sure she wasn’t there.  I always thought that Jesse and Crystal would be perfect together, I know he likes her by how his mood shifts every time she’s not around. Yeah even though he has blonde for a girlfriend.

“Oh yeah. I’m pretty sure she never came home last night, she met up with a guy last night. Or she’s still a sleep. Then again it could be both” I said with a sarcastic tone. No maybe not sarcastic maybe more amusing.

We walked to the plaza by our neighborhood, it was about a 30 minute walk.  Jesse spent most of the time talking to Mia so I ended up being able to talk to Caitlin.

I rarley get the chance to talk with her, she tend to be off doing thing with her  school friends. She was talking about her older brother was coming back for the week and that he seems to be hiding somthing. Her theory is that he dropped out of school, or stole a car.

I can see that he'd dropped out of school  Leo was never that fond of school, he was going for Architecture, but his father kept pushing him to do more with his life. Oh Leo is about 21 years old and he makes Jesse look like apreschooler.  I mean he's what every girl wants.

We make it to the plaza, and I noticed they headed straight to party city, which I knew the anwser to what i was going to ask but, out of habit and curiosity to see that I was right.

“So...What are we shopping for? “

A grin spread acrossJessie's face face “A Halloween Party. “
