As you walked into the 40,000 square foot palace-like mansion, the familiar caged and imprisoned feeling embraced you, making you feel like the cruel world was happily escorting you back to reality.
"My daughter is finally back! How was your first day in college?"
You saw your father stood up from the velvet chair in the elegant living room and rushed towards your side in full of excitement, waiting for your college tale.
You greeted your father with a quick hug, before you huffed out a sigh and crossed your arms. "It was great, until someone attempted on dragging me out of the library," You whined out while throwing a glare towards Taehyung.
But the next second, you regretted your action almost immediately when you saw Taehyung's piercing eyes looked back into yours, as though he was still mad at you for messing with him.
So you bowed your head to the lowest level that you could ever reach and hid behind your father's chubby frame as a shield.
"Yes, a punishment, darling. My kind of punishment."
Taehyung's words in the university hall echoed in your ears, making your stomach strangely squirm in fear. You peeped through your lashes to look at him in askance, because you couldn't believe that a bodyguard like him would have the balls to punish you.
He wouldn't dare to hurt his boss's daughter, would he? You questioned in your head.
Very timely, you saw Taehyung's face slowly changed into an amused one when he saw the confusion in your look. In the most subtle way, he raised his brow at you, making you mentally let out a scoff.
"I told him that you need to reach home by 6, so don't blame him, Jae In..." Your father's soft voice floated in the air as an emollient approach to calm the heavy tension in the room.
"Now tell me, did you try to rebel on them again?" Your father asked as he turned around and clapped your shoulders gently, a knowing look painted across his face, as though he could see through the distress aura from the seven bodyguards.
When you heard the confrontation from your father, a frown slipped up on your face as you created a barrier between you and your father, and his bodyguards.
Because it seemed like your father would always take their side no matter how much you reasoned out your dissatisfaction.
"Dad, what's the point of parading me out to the world when the fact that I am still being tied down by these guys? You said I can have my own freedom..." You voiced out almost frustratedly, tears threatened to come out from the corner of your eyes, but you fought back hard.
