For centuries there always was me and my little sister. I have always looked after her, always did everything to keep her safe and happy. But many times I feel like I've failed to do that.

My sister always would fall in love too quickly and easily. And of course that kind of love never really lasted leaving her heartbroken. You would think that after so many times a person would learn and stop doing the same mistake over and over. But it looked like just when Abigail would get over her last breakup, she would fall into the same traps all over again.

Thankfully we were not alone. We had Mikaelsons. They, especially Rebekah, would help Abigail ever since we met them.

We both had a very strong bond with Klaus, Rebekah, Elijah and Kol. They were like family for us for 400 years.

Today me and my sister arrived to Mystic Falls invited by Klaus. In a letter he said that there'll be a grand Mikaelson family reunion ball. Apparently their mother have resurrected and Klaus pulled out the daggers out of his brothers and sister. When I was reading that letter to Abigail she chocked on blood that she was drinking. I was shocked no less either. Maybe after so long of knowing Mikaelson these kind of events shouldn't surprise us anymore, but they still did. Mikaelson are that kind of people who can always surprise you with something.

There was still two days left till the grand ball, so we decided to go visit them and maybe even get to peek at the Original witch.

Abigail always was very curious, bubbly and childish no matter how old she was. People said that we were completely opposite. I was always a more matured, more serious and relied more on my brain than my heart.

When we got out of the car in front of a big mansion, Abigail ran to the doors, opened them and walked inside like it was her own house.

"Honey, I'm home!" I heard her say loudly. I chucked and rolled my eyes while walking to the mansion. When I walked in I saw Rebekah and Abigail hugging each other tightly while Klaus and Elijah stood besides them smiling. Suddenly I was lifted off my feet. I squealed as someone span me around in the air. When they put me down I turned around and found Kol laughing.

"Kol!" I laughed as I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and hugged him. "It's been so long since the last time I saw you."

"I know, love." He said when I pulled away. "But it's not like I'm responsible for that." He glared at Klaus, who looked at everything but his brother like he didn't hear what he said.

"You must be hungry after long journey." Klaus coughed trying to change the topic.

"Mmm yes we are!" Abigail whined. I scoffed at her appetite.

"Abi, we literally ate an hour ago." I laughed.

"What can I say." She looked at me innocently. "I'm a growing organism." She shrugged.

"I'm sorry to break this to you, but you stopped growing 400 years ago, dear." Elijah spoke up amusement clear in his voice making everyone laugh. But my eyes didn't miss the blush that crept on my sister's cheeks. 'Oh dear... not again' I thought to myself.

This whole day was about catching up a few decades that we haven't seen each other. Klaus told me about the situation that was currently in Mystic Falls, about his hybrids and all. Kol didn't really have much to say since he was daggered that whole time, so either I talked or he complained about how useless these devices called "phones" are. The same was with Rebekah, plus that she talked a lot about her hatred for Elena Gilbert.

I didn't notice how the day passed away and me and Abigail decided to go back to our house that we had in town. Just when we got home I understood that I haven't talked with Elijah at all. That upset me a bit since I always liked the noble Original. Maybe even more than a brother... but I didn't let my feelings grow, because I knew how problematic it would be if I have fallen in love with him.
