My first real day of school, grade 11. I walked down the hall to my locker and once again, I see him, Parker Thompson. I called over to him,
"Hey Parker!"
"Oh hey Connie, what's up?" He replied.
"Noting much, just wanted to say hi, y'know, you are the only person other than the teachers that I know here." I said chuckling.
"Yea you're new, I know. Well we should get to class, talk to you later. Meet you here at lunch?" He suggested.
"Yeah sure, see you then." I replied.
I grabbed my science book and ran to class.
"Okay class. Take a seat anywhere you like. If I hear you chit-chatting to much, I will move you." My new science teacher Ms. Ainsley directed.
"Can I sit here?" I asked a girl sitting down next to an empty seat in the middle row.
"Yea sure, why not." She said quietly.
I took a seat next to her, she had long curly dark red hair. She flashed her dark brown eyes at me.
"Hey, I'm Ashleigh." She said in a perky voice.
"Im Connie.Nice to meet you." I replied.
"So, how long have you been in this school?"She asked.
"Uh, this is my first year. You?" I explained.
"Oh, funny, I'm new here too. I just moved here from Australia. You seem comfortable, I assumed you've gone here a while, Where are you from?" She asked.
"I'm from Bellingham Washington. Where in Australia are you from?" I asked
"Oh, I'm from Brisbane in Queensland. I came here to learn better French, I want to become a flight attendant." She explained.
"Wow, that's awesome, do you want to join me at lunch? I'm going to hang out with this guy named Parker I met yesterday, he's a pretty nice guy, meet us at the cafeteria on the 2nd floor."
"Yea, su-," She got cut off by the teacher.
"Okay class, since it's only our first day, let's just start to get to know eacother, I will start with the front row, say you're name, favourite color and you're favourite activity." Ms. Ainsley directed.
We finished calling out our names and favourite colors and such. And so the teacher told us to read the first 3 pages of the textbook. That finished and half the day flew past. Lunch came. I ran down to my locker and shoved my math textbook in from my last class. I turned around and leaned against my locker. I pulled out my phone and started checking my facebook notifications and such. 5 minutes went by. I looked up and noticed Parker talking to a group of girls. I heard one of them say:
"Parker, you should really hang out with us, we're more fun then you think."
"Nah, maybe some other time, I'm hanging out with Connie today." He replied.
I put my phone away and kept listening to their conversation until their done.
"You mean that new girl? She seems cool." They all said.
I walked over to them.
"Well bye guys, see you later." Parker said to the group.
"Bye." I said to them.
We walked down to the cafeteria where we saw Ashleigh waiting in the doorway.
"Woah, ha what took you guys so long eh? And hey you're Parker? Connie told me about you." Ashleigh said laughing.
