I yawned and looked at the clock. 7:00. It blinked and I sighed. Why did I wake up now? I felt for my desk and switched on the light. It was quiet outside, the damp, dark weather you have before a storm. Sighing, I closed the lamp and tried to go back to sleep. For some strange reason I couldn't, even though I was throughly exhuasted. "This is not what I had in plan for a Saturday..." I mumbled while slowly getting up, stretching and yawning. It wasn't that early anyways.

I looked at my desk, full of scattered pieces of paper. "Seems like now is the perfect time to do some clean up...?" I looked around. Everything seemed to be in order. "Oh, I remember...I did all the chores the day before yesterday." I plopped back down in my bed, closing my eyes. I was really, fully awake and I had no idea what to do. If I went training-

I blushed and threw a hand over my eyes. "Gah, it's not like he'll be there again." I mumbled into my hand and got up. It would be good to get some exercise.

Dressed fairly warm, I went outside, quietly closing the my door with a click. Taking the key out, I paused to look at the sky. It was going to rain again. Clouds welled up above me and a streak  of lighting raced through the sky. Maybe this isn't a good idea...I groaned and went back into the house. Maybe I'll just have to find something to do. I closed the door slowly, still not sure about my decision. "Well then I guess I'll have to make breakfast for myself?" I chuckled and thunder boomed, making me yelp in surprise. I cleared my throat and went to the kitchen, shaking my head and laughing softly.

"Well, I guess if I had time to make something different now would be good." Today was free day, no missions. I opened a cabinet that I hadn't touched in awhile. The hinges creaked loudly and I grabbed the mixture and a jar full of cream looking material.

"Sakura gave me this for Valentine's Day...I still haven't touched it..." I snorted at the memory. On Feburary 14th, she had ran up to me, holding out a box. "Here's your present!" She had said happily, and surprised, I had taken the present. "Does this mean that you finally love me back, Sakura chan?" I said, teary eyed and Sakura had bonked me on the head. "Of course not, you idiot! I gave one to everyone, just to be nice." She laughed when she saw my sad expression. "Oh cheer up. Look at the present!" I looked down at my hands.

I looked at Sakura chan. "Uh...thank you...?" I had no idea how to bake, and one of the reasons why I stuck to ramen was that I didn't want to blow up my house. "Oh, don't worry! I've got the topping for you too!" She handed me a jar. ".....It's....pink..." I sighed and she nodded. "Of course! I wanted to give you the lemon cake one but Choji took it. It'll be delicious anyways!" I had groaned. "Sakura chan, why didn't you just buy me ramen? This is a waste of money and time!" She had looked at me, a vein popping on her head. "APPRECIATE THE THINGS THAT PEOPLE GIVE YOU, YOU IDIOT!" And punched me right on face, sending me flying to netherland.

I smiled at the fond memory, petting my cheek, and went to work, rolling up my sleeves. "I can do this!" I pep talked myself and took out the instructions.
