During THAT Night... But before THAT scene...

Rue P.O.V.

After she left, I quietly walked out of my hiding spot. And slowly, I walked up to Roland.

Roland stood, fist clenched, and head down. I couldn't read his expression, but I could see his fist shake.

Was he angry? If so, why?

"Hmm," I softly sighed.

But to my surprise, it scared Roland and made him jump.

"Who's there?!" He immediately brought his sword out of his palm.

As I was laughing and holding my forehead in my hands.

"Stop laughing!" He growled. Cute.

"Haa~" I sighed after laughing, and looked up.

I didn't expect Roland to look around, panicky. His eyes shifting around to find my voice, but it looks like he can't see me.

...

Silence was straining as I leisurely walked over to him. His body was rigid, and he still looked tensed. Now, this all sounds sexual, but it's not dear Readers. I'm just having a little fun, and besides, I have Mytho~

I waved my right hand to his face, he really can't see me.

"Why so angry?" I asked softly.

In response, Roland confusingly looked around to find the voice. I sighed, I then quickly went to go pick up a flower then back to Roland. Roland seemed shock to see a simple flower floating in mid-air, I giggled.

"Calm down, put your sword away. And even if you swing your blade, it will be useless," I twirled my hand, which made the flower do a spin too.

Roland seemed hesitant, but obliged.

"What do you want?" Roland said tonelessly.

I smiled sadly, "What do you want?" I repeated his question softly, "You are now tainted by Dark, Roland, but that will get you no where."

Roland stiffened, he knows he is tainted but he doesn't want to say. I could only sigh once more, my worries going overboard than ever.

"Roland," he looked up at the sound of his name, "Don't hurt her."

Roland clenched his fist, "I know!"

My smile stiffened, "I know, you know. But as of now, with this Power, the Power you attained. It can hurt her-"

"I know!" Roland yelled, which cause me to flinch, "I know! I don't need your opinion! I can protect her! My Princess!"

"But-!"

"'But' nothing!" Roland immediately whisked himself away with just a swing of his arm. Black, bloody-looking, feathers covered him which caused me to drop my flower and wake back up in my bed.

...

...

What was that? No! WHY?!
