the whole elevator ride was awkward. they were all screwing around with each other and there was nothing I could do. Nate had a death grip in my waist but his eyes were focused in his phone. when we got to the lobby we flowed out of the elevator, only to be greeted by another mob of teenage girls. I forced my way through, muttering a few curse words until we finally got to the street. not once did Nate look up from his phone. when we got to the beach, I set my towel down on the hot sand and rubbed sunscreen all over my body. once I sat down on the sand I heard screaming girls I turned my head only to see those whatever-con boys forcing their way through the crowd. I laid back on my towel only to be interrupted by jack.

"excuse me, is it cool if we hang here?" he asked, gesturing to the area of sand next to me.

"yea sure, whatever." I replied, putting my sunglasses back over my eyes. I heard them muttering something about my ass so I turned my head to face Nate, but he way nowhere in sight. I rolled my eyes and went back to my tanning.

a few hours passed and I had flipped onto my back. Nate still hadn't come back. those whatever boys had gone off to another place on the beach. just as I was beginning to fall asleep I felt something bounce off my stomach. I looked up to find jack running towards me.

"haha sorry, looks like taylor isn't very good at volleyball." he laughs pointing back to one of his friends. I choose to ignore his lane attempt of flirting. once he walks away I throw all my beach stuff in my bag and slide my shorts and flip flops off and head back to the hotel room.

when I finally get back to the hotel I click the elevator button to our floor and lean against the cool wall. I miss my parents. I want to live with my brothers. I hate my aunt. jack gilinsky is hot. wait did I really just think that. shit. I have Nate. I love Nate. I think I love Nate.

my thoughts are interrupted by the doors opening to our floor. I step into the vacant hallway and make my way back to the end of the hallway where our room is. when I get there I slip my key into the lock and the door creaks open. I take a step in and immediately regret it. empty whiskey are thrown all over the floor. as I turn to leave the room, a very drunk Nate comes up behind me and grabs my waist.

"where have you been, babe?"
