"Hi Sweetie!" Mavis shouted as I entered the small, quaint store. I spoke a loud hello and smiled in her direction. "Walter wasn't feeling well so he stayed up in bed today" They rented out both the top floor and bottom floor of the building so they didn't have to travel too far after working the long hours that they did.

"We want to go on holiday to France to visit his sister. Would you be able to come in most days to watch the place? We could pay you a little extra if you needed" I wasn't surprised when she asked me this as her and Walter have been talking of visiting France.

"Of course. You'd know I'd do pretty much anything for you guys! Also, no need to pay me more." I shook my head in her direction with a small smile on my face. After I set my purse under the counter, I went to help Mavis put out a new stock. Walter came down the steps wearing his blue, plaid pajama pants along with a plain white t-shirt on. "Mav, on second thought, could we close shop and go to the clinic? I'm not felling as well as I thought I was."

"Oh sure!" She looked at me and smiled.

"I can keep the store open while you guys are gone." I smiled at the pair and waited for their answer.

After thinking about it and me convincing them that it wouldn't be a burden on my day, they got ready and left.

I turned up the radio that was playing old American songs from the 1960s. Stuff by Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, and Otis Redding. I danced around and went through returns. Our rush hour came and five of our regular customers came in.

After tending to the last customer, I went back to putting out the stock. I shelved a box of books full of recipes then moved onto the last box.

I opened the box and read the title of the book. It had a group of seven men on the cover. I paged through it and saw a diagram of different hairstyles the seven of them have had. I switched to another page and saw one of them in a superhero outfit. I giggled at the names and then started to pack the shelves. I thought nothing of it but little did I know that they'd be a major impact on me and my life with more giggles to come.
