Hello! I'm back again! I'm afraid that you won't see a lot of the girls this chapter, and I've kinda got a plan for the next one, but hang in there! I'm getting there! Be patient! Also, the reason I didn't put who's POV it was in the previous chapter is because it hasn't changed since the start. With that out of the way, enjoy!

I woke up to the sound of shuffling. I opened my eyes and saw other children coming in with a few newspapers each, lying down, covering themselves with what they could, and going to sleep. The silence was next to absolute. The only sounds left were breathing, wriggling, and footsteps coming from above. I looked up to see cracks in the floor. I saw the owner of the orphanage going to what I supposed was the kitchen, because he went back to the sofa with a beer and a big bucket of what I think was chicken.

The noise he made while eating... was INTOLERABLE!!! He was chewing with his mouth open, moaning slightly with every bite. He then fell asleep with chicken running down his front. Then the snoring began, waking up all the children. I was surprised they didn't say anything.

I went up to one of the children, a boy who looked a bit older than me, which meant he was a bit younger than me. (I'll remind you that you are 16 years old, but look like a 9 or 10 year old) He was skinny, undernourished, and extremely grubby. He looked up at me when I got near enough, then looked down. This place was acting like the bottom end of a dystopian government.

"H-h-h-hey. W-w-would y-you t-t-tell m-me if th-the d-d-d-door I-I-is l-locked." I asked, as quietly as possible. His head shot up as he looked at me in shock. He then looked around.

"You're not like the others, are you? Who are you?" He asked just as quietly.

"I-I-I-I-I'll t-t-tell y-y-y-you l-later. Please t-tell me!" I whisper shouted. He cowered, furtively looking up to see if the owner had woken up. He then looked back at me.

"No, it's never locked because he rigs it with an alarm to make sure he wakes up. He then beats anyone who dares to defy him. He vicious." He replied, finally giving me the information I needed.

I gave him a quick smile before putting my mask on. I made sure he didn't see it though. I quietly crept up the stairs. The door to the basement was about 5 meters away from where the man was. I opened the door, and as I did, I heard a snap. The snap set of the dog, and he woke up. I disappeared back into the basement, still at the top of the stairs. He looked around, not seeing anything, so he started walking over towards the door. He swung the door open, only to have his neck sliced open. He looked at me, gurgled, and fell down the steps.

I took off my mask, hiding it. I cleaned the knife on the man's clothes and looked around. All the other children were looking at me. Then the all cheered and crowded around me. They were all giving me hugs, shacking my hand, and thanking me fervently. The boy to whom I had talked to before the killing came up to me.

"Who are you?" He asked, dumbfounded.

"K-K-Katt, j-just Katt." I replied. He smiled, extending his hand.

"Michael, I don't know my second name..." he said. I shook his hand. (Sorry if that's your name.)

"Y-y-y-you a-are wh-wh-who y-you are." I said. He smiled. He then climbed the steps, addressing the crowd.

"Boys and girls!" There was a cheer as he spoke, "this kid, Katt, has just saved us from that monster! I suggest we all go to one of the houses in town, they're all summer houses anyway! Let's have a party!" I went up to him.

"P-p-please... th-this isn't n-n-necessary..." I said, shyly and sadly, but he didn't notice because the others were cheering. They all left in a big group, carrying me with them.
