Molly's pov

*at lunch*

I grab my tray of food and sit down at a lunch table with Angi.

"Hey," she says, moving her fork on her plate.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Is it that obvious?"

"That you're making a frowning face with your peas? Yeah, it is."

"No, I mean that I'm sad."

"You look bored to other people, but I can see that you're sad." I pause. "I'm guessing blind, too. Your outfit doesn't match."

"Hey, guys,"

"Hey Loren," Angi and I say.

"Molly? C-Can we sidebar?" Loren asks as Sky shows up, nodding for her to come with.

"What's going on?"

"Okay, so someone texted me a picture of you and my boyfriend. I don't want to talk to him until I talk to you." Loren says, really fast.

"Can I see the picture? I don't know what you're talking about. " I say.

Loren pulls out her phone and starts looking for the picture and I see Bryce walking into the cafe.

"Hey, um, I'll be right back. Keep looking. I'll only be a second." I say, walking to Bryce.

"Hey Rice." I say to him.

"Hi Molly," he says and pulls me in for a hug.

"What are you doing here?" I ask.

"The school wanted volunteers in the library to help clean up. I thought I'd come and make a few bucks, ya know?"

"Oh, nice," I say. "Are you on your lunch break?"

"Yup,"

"Cool, come sit with us." I say, leading him toward our table.

                                         ***

Later that day

I was walking down the hallway to the office to get my phone at the end of the day. I stopped to see a piece of artwork in the hallway. Whoever made it is really talented. I don't understand the piece, but it was really good.

"Hello," I say. "I'm here to get my phone?"

"Right over here, Molly" she starts. "I just need you to unlock it in front of me."

"Okay." I unlock it and leave.

As soon as I'm in my car, I lock the doors, set my stuff down, then look for messages from Mikey.

I open Instagram and go to my dms. Mikey texted me.
