Chapter 4

Me, Alicia, Liyah and Carene was walking down the hallway when we heard ppl yelling. So of course we all went to see what was happening. Turns out it was a fight. Liyah being so short jumping up and down like a fool tryna see. she eventually just jumped on my back.

"you like spreading rumors huh," I heard.

"What you talking bout dawg? get out my face with that shit." it was sam.

"Naw. You spreading rumors about my lil sis." it was Julian, Carene boyfriend. So of course her lil self squeeze through and pull me with her.

"So yawl just gone jump me? I got peoples too." Sam says with a chuckle.

"Naw we aint gone jump you. More like tag team," James said. Then they went to fighting.

Punches was thrown all over the place. I was screaming for some body to break it but nobobody was listening to me.

Somebody finally broke it up and sam came straight to me. "So you had them jump me? this not over."

Every body was staring at me. people were whispering and shaking their heads. I ran away crying. I wasn't looking where I was going cuz I ran straight into Tyrone.

"what's wrong Lil ma? why you crying?" He asked me.

"I...ummm...just leave me alone." I said and ran around him.

I ran straight in the bathroom and locked myself in a stall. I heard voices so I know people were in there now.

"Cammy?" Jaz said. I didn't respond.

"I swear I will climb under this stall and beat yo ass if u dont come out" she said.

"eww don't crawl on this floor." Liyah said. I bust out laughing.

"I hear u laughing. Come out here right now." Alicia said.

I walked out. Carene came and slapped my arm. I glared at her.

"Sorry. But don't run away like dat!" She said and hit me again. I kept glaring at her. Am I two or sum?

"Stop hitting her before I hit you." Jazmine said. Carene bagged away with her hands up. Smh silly.

"you ok?" Liyah asked.

"No." I said honestly.

"don't listen to nothing he say. He got problems."Liyah said.

"Yeah. You wanna go home?" Alicia asked.

"No. I got a test in English." I said.

"Test? or u just wanna see yo new boos?" Carene asked. I straight faced her. "im jp"

"come on. I have my aunt write us a pass." jaz said.

"iight." we said.

We walked out and went to her aunt class. She wrote us a pass and we went our separate ways. well just me. im going to class with Destiny and Shania. they all got class together.

I walked in and gave my pass to ms.white. She handed me my test. I was about to go to my regular seat but somebody was sitting in it. I looked around and Tyrone was motioning for me to come sit next to him. I just sat on the other side.

The test was easy. I got done and handed it in. Once everyone was done ms.white told us to get in our groups and work on our project.

I got up and saw my partners already together. I went over to them and sat down.

"So y u ain't come sit by me?" Tyrone asked.

"Cuz you was gone ask me questions about earlier. Can we get started?" I asked.

"What happen earlier?" alex asked.

"nothing." I said.

"She was running and crying" Tyrone said. I glared at him. he smiled.

"Why were u crying?" Alex asked.

"Can we get to our work please? damn. I dont wanna talk about it apparently!" I snapped.

They both had shoked expressions. I shook my head and apologized.

"She fiesty" Tyrone said biting his lip. I just rolled my eyes.

"light so what yawl wanna do for this project?" I asked going back to the purpose of this group.

"Well we could make a movie but that's too much. Or go volunteer at the children's center. Either way we still gottav write the paper and stuff." Alex said.

"Movies out. I don't like bay bay kids but I guess we can do that." Tyrone said.

"iight. So Tuesdays and Thursdays we go at 4:30." I said. They nodded.

"what's this paper thing tho?" Tyrone asked.

"Basically each of us write a 2 page paper on what we learned and stuff." ALEX SAID.

"So what we do now?" Tyrone asked. I shrugged.

"I don't know about y'all but I'm bout to smash this brownie." I said and got up.

I felt hands pulling me back. I turned around and they both were grabbing me

"Where ours?" they asked at the same time. I shrugged again and left for real this time.
