Drug Runner - Chapter 8

Kakashi had blocked the little runt from being hurt by Zabuza. He should have let Naruto take the hit so that he wouldn't be slowed down. Why is he protecting him? My legs were slightly shaky but I could stand and I was ready to fight if needed.

"Brat, you don't have charka to fight. Sit down and rest," Kiritsu scoffed at me as I glared at him, "Okay, give me some of your charka if you think I'm so weak I can't fight." He growled at me dangerously and I turned completely towards him, "Are you disobeying an order, pup?" I knew he wanted to bit at me, show me who the alpha really is, but I'll show him. I'm the leader and what I say go's.

Our eyes challenged each others and I wasn't backing down, but neither was him. But, eventually he gave in and transferred me some of his large charka reserves. I felt my body instantly heal and the energy slowly came back to my body.

My breathing was back to normal and I was fine, but my ribs still hurt like a bitch. He broke two of my ribs, so I had to be careful in what I did. I don't want my broken ribs puncturing my lungs and thus leading to lung failure resulting in my own foolish death.

Waves flooded the area as Zabuza and Kakashi both performed water style dragon's, I stayed still but crouched down so I wouldn't be washed away. Through the use of more water styles Kakashi had managed to weaken Zabuza and pin him to a tree with his kunai.

As Kakashi readied to kill Zabuza, two senbons shot out and impaled Zabuza in the neck which for sure killed him on the spot. Looking to where the senbons were fired there was a ninja dressed in large drapes of dresses and wearing a Kirigakure ANBU mask standing on a tree branch, looking down at us but mostly Zabuza.

"You were right. It is his last battle," The masked ninja chuckled amused at Zabuza's misfortune. It certainly was an unexpected change in events. Kakashi then checked for a pulse on Zabuza, but ultimately finding none thus claiming Zabuza Momochi dead at last. But, I couldn't help but think something wasn't right. Zabzua is a great ninja, right? How could he get himself killed so easily?

"Thank you, I've been tracking Zabuza for a long time. Waiting for this chance to finally take him down," The mysterious man proclaimed as Kakashi said, "Why your mask I can see you're a tracker ninja from the Village Hidden in the Mist."

My eyes narrowed at this strange character even more. Sakura then explained to Naruto what and who a tracker ninja is, after all, she's only good for explaining and not doing. "You're correct. I'm a member from the elite tracking from the Village Hidden in the Mist. It was my duty to defeat, Zabuza," He explained further as I neared closer to the group.

Naruto then ran up below the tracker ninja, "But, how? Why! How could you defeat someone like Zabuza? You're only a kid," He was angry but for what reason? There are people who will always be stronger, more intelligent, anything you can think of, someone will always be better than you? What's the point in fighting then?

The masked nin gracefully jumped down to Zabuza and carried him away. Naruto being the idiot he is started to punch the ground repeatedly as Kakashi tried to calm him down, but his efforts failed. It was growing old and I just wanted to sit down and smoke.

"The path to greatness is hard and long even boring sometimes but there are no shortcuts so you have to stay focused. So, stop complaining you, brat," I told him harshly as his fist slowed down and eventually came to a stop. It was almost as if he was dwelling on my words and realized how stupid his actions were at the moment.

The others stared at me in shock at my so called motivation, but really I just wanted the little runt to shut his mouth. "My apologizes. I'll let you rest in my house," Tazuna offered to which we silently agreed. "Alright, let's get a move on," Kakashi ordered as he walked, but a few feet in he abruptly stopped and fell to the ground passing out. Sakura and Naruto were freaking out repeatedly asking his unconscious body if he was okay.
