New Friends and the Idiot

I'm Lee Jin Hee. I'm 16, and a sophomore in highschool. Some people would say that I'm emotionless, boring, or a loner. But I guess that they are right.

I want a boring normal life. A fancy life is too much to handle. Having a boyfriend can only hurt me.

I don't really care about what people say. I don't need them.

I sat down on my chair, placing my backpack right next to me.

"Ew. Look at her. Her clothes are so plain." Someone whispered.

"Yaaah. I know right? She has bad taste." Another agreed.

The comments kept comming, but why would I care? It's been like this since pre-school.

But I never knew that my life would change because of these 12 boys.

(FLASHBACK)

I was in third grade.

Class started and the teacher hushed us quickly.

"Class, we have a nee student here today! You can come in now!" She called.

A beautiful girl with long brown hair and glowing white skin walked inside, giddy and happy. "Hello! My name is Min Hee! I hope we can all be friends!" She beamed.

The girls beside me immediatley motioned her to sit next to them, which turned into a full out war.

The only seats that were open was the seat infront of me, and the seats near the girls who were bickering.

The teacher growled, obviously annoyed. "YA! The girls over there! Stop fighting!" She shouted.

And they shut up

"Min Hee, how about you sit infront of Jin Hee." Whispers were heard in almost an instant.

"YA!" The teacher screamed again.

And like before, the classroom fell silent.

"Jin Hee is over there." The teacher pointed at me. Min Hee gave the teacher another smile and sat infront of me.

"Hi!" She greeted.

I sneered and looked away, not wanting to talk to her. I fixed my big round glasses.

She kept smiling. "Come on! At least say hi to me!" She fake cried.

"Hi." I said coldly. Min Hee's eyes lit up like a normal child on Christmas.

Notice normal. I despise Christmas.

"We're officially friends!" She chirped happily. What? Is she crazy?

She might be joking around...

Turned out she wasn't. Everyday, she would turn around to talk to me, even if she would get in trouble. I would ignore, but she only tried harder.

Why is she like this?

Whenever the popular girls would ask her to hang out with them, from a distance, I could hear her say, "I'm sorry. I'm hanging out with Jin Hee." And she would smile.

We were in 8th grade now. Min Hee never moved to a different school. She promised me that she would stay with me. Like I care...

One day, one of the popular girls in my grade came up to me after school with her friends.

"Bitch! Look at me!" She shouted, grabbing my face to look at her. "Why don't you leave this school? I can't stand you!" She hissed.
