Rebel's POV!!!
"I'm here bro, what do you want to say?" I asked him. I knew I was being harsh towards him, but my words didn't matter compared to his actions.
"I want to say I'm sorry. I love you Rebel. You're my little sister, and I love Alex so so much, but now she's gone. Long story short, over the past couple of days I have contemplated a lot. Suicide, running away, going back home, etc. I have to know that you forgive me. I know I took you and Justin right back to square one with love, and for that I apologize. I know I hurt you, and for that I apologize. I am a liar, and a horrible brother to you. Forgive me?" Brendon said. I could tell he was sincere, and he regret everything he'd done. It was better for me to forgive and forget, especially since we were going to be together for the rest of our lives. It wasn't worth a lifetime of awkward silences and space.
"I will forgive you, but on one condition, you still propose to Alex as planned. I have to tell you something and you can't say anything to anyone... Got it?" I told him.
"Got it, and okay?" he replied.
"I didn't just plan this trip last minute. I had known I was going here before we even started thinking about Gonsia. A person from New York sent a help call, to me specifically, I replied and he told me what was going on. We've been in contact for awhile. We aren't going to some rundown shack with thieves and old people. We are going to live in New York City... The place the "leftovers" of this world decided to start rebuilding first. It has a force field built around it to keep toxicity and any bad thing out of it. Almost like something you'd see in The Hunger Games. Our home is a real home, with beds and couches, and television. We will have food and lights and music... all of it for free, we just have to work. Small things honestly, working in gardens, starting our careers, feeding our fellow humans, etc. Are you In?" I told him.
"I'm in..."
