That night, a strange aura hung over the entire country. Otherworldly shapes were moving in the dark, unlike those any human had ever seen. Outside Rene Fox's house, a figure approached the entrance and began banging on the door.

"Rene! Logan! Open up!"

"Sir? What are you doing here?" Logan wondered as he opened the door.

"I need your help" Daniel replied.

"What happened?" Rene asked him, as she went down the stairs.

Daniel took the laptop from the table and attached a USB to it. Once the folder appeared, he opened a video file and turned the screen toward Rene and Logan. It was footage from security cameras, in which a man appeared to be stealing a package from a building known to the two agents.

"Is that...?" Logan started.

"Fort Knox" Daniel completed his sentence.

Towards the end of the video, the camera zoomed in on the man's face. It was Daniel.

Rene and Logan couldn't help but exclaim in shock.

"It wasn't me, I swear!" Daniel shouted.

"Keep calm... I'm sure there's an explanation" Rene reassured him, giving his arm a light squeeze.

"There is" a male voice was heard behind them.

All three turned around at the same time. Behind them there was a familiar face.

"Adams?!" Logan exclaimed.

"This can't be possible... I myself fought you, and you ended up with my bullet in your chest! You couldn't have survived! " Rene yelled.

"You're right, Rene, I didn't survive... Not in your dimension" Adams replied.

Before anyone could say anything, the felt their cells being pulled apart. They yelled, but no sound came out of their mouths. Everything went black.

"What the hell was that!?" Rene asked, when she felt her body return to normal.

"The passing to our dimension" Adams informed her and opened the door.

The world of the future, just like Rene had imagined, unfolded in front of her eyes. Streets floating in the air, flying vehicles, clothes that looked like they came from a sci-fi movie and automated buildings occupied the city. As for the house, it was full of devices, designed with technology beyond her wildest fantasies.

At that moment, Logan and Daniel began to come to.

"Now that everyone is awake, I think it's time to explain how things are" Adams drew their attention.

"Here" he said and took a newspaper from the table, "we have my biggest rival, David Green. He's your personality in this dimension, Daniel. He has all your characteristics, except that he's on the opposite side of the law".

Rene took the newspaper in her hands and read the title:

"DAVID GREEN ESCAPES THE HANDS OF JUSTICE".

Below, there was a photo of a man that looked exactly like Daniel.

"His goal is to dominate our world. If he succeeds, he will soon move to your own world" Adams continued. "A logic that exists in both dimensions, is that the wealthiest is in charge. In order for Green to achieve his goal, he needed money. Years ago, one of our spacecrafts carrying a huge amount of money, fell into a portal and ended up on your planet. You may have heard of a truck full of money being found in of the USA counties. That was our spacecraft. You see, every object of our dimension that goes to yours changes form. Green came to your dimension and took that money with ease, but he needs more. It's a matter of time for him and his accomplice to attack" Adams continued.

"Who?" Rene asked.

"Your personality here. Her name is Iris May" Adams replied.

Rene shuddered at the thought of ​​another, criminal version of herself.

"What do you want from us?" Daniel asked Adams, pulling Rene out of her thoughts.

"Green has a specific goal. We have to get it out of the vault, before he does" Adams told him.

"Let's go" Logan said decisively.

Adams walked out of the house and towards a vehicle, that looked like a combination of an ordinary car with a spacecraft. He stepped in with Rene, Logan and Daniel following him. The vehicle took off and, within seconds, they were thousands of miles away.

Adams landed the vehicle in front of a huge building made of metal. He then pressed a button and the vehicle disappeared.

Suddenly, they saw a figure running towards them. As he approached them, all four recognized a familiar face.

"David?!" Adams shouted.

"I took them. Let's go".

"You idiot! Didn't I tell you to wait!? We could've had them do all the work, and get May out of the way!"

Rene, Logan, and Daniel looked at them in shock. Adams pulled out a weapon and aimed at them.

"Don't you dare make a move!" he threatened and turned to David. "That goes for you too. I won't lose my freedom to your stupidity!"

David knew how to disarm him, but he was afraid. The other three weren't, but they didn't know how to disarm such a weapon. So, they stood there glaring at him. Adams grabbed the suitcase from David's hands violently and turned to leave.

A woman's voice, though, made him stop: "Adams!"

All five turned around. A woman that looked exactly like Rene stood confidently behind them.

"Drop it. We both know who shoots better"

"Is that so, May? Then why don't you prove it when I was aiming at Thomas?" Adams taunted her.

Her face fell. She didn't seem to soften, but she froze like a knife had punctured her heart. Adams, seeing the pain in her eyes, smiled with satisfaction. He had knocked out his opponent with just a single phrase, only this time, she wasn't alone.

Rene jumped at Adams and pinned him to the ground. Unfortunately, he was much stronger than the one in her dimension. With one swift motion, he shook her off and prepared to kill her. To his surprise, somebody grabbed his arm and twisted it.

"Not this time!"

"You're dead, David".

"At least I'll know that I did the right thing".

Blinded by greed and hatred, Adams pounced at his former accomplice and punched him. Before he could hit him again, though, Iris, her eyes dripping with the desire for vengeance, attacked him. Not realizing what she was doing, she stopped only when he laid almost unconscious on the ground.

"Finish it" he spat at her.

"No" she coldly told him. "I'll let you live and die a prisoner. So you can hurt forever, just like I do because of you. So you can remember this day forever. So that you remember what happens to anyone who hurts the man I love. Because I'll always love him".

Then, an aircraft landed a few feet away from them.

"Get him out of my sight" she ordered the men who stepped out of it, and approached Logan, Rene and Daniel.

Rene started explaining everything that had happened, how Adams deceived them to have them help with his crime.

"I believe you. I know how cunning that man is. I'm sorry for getting you into so much trouble. I'll provide you with a spacecraft, so you can return to your dimension. But I will never forget you...".
