Chapter 7 - Waiting

Little Frances woke up in the morning still feeling lonely she missed her parents so much. She went out to her room to find the old woman who let her stay in her house for the meantime. The old woman is at the kitchen cooking for their breakfast it is an egg also a bread. She walk into her and greeted the old woman.

Little Frances Pov :
"Goodmorning!" she said.
"Goodmorning too child, how was your sleep?" old woman said.
"It was good. Thank you for letting me stay with you." she said.
"It's not a problem child. I will always welcome you here at my home, as you can see I am alone at this house." old woman said.
"Where are your family?" she said.
"I don't have family child." old woman said.
"Oh I am sorry to ask you." she said.
"It's ok." old woman said.

The old woman look sad. She thinks maybe she is all alone all this time at this small house.

"Ahm, I forgot to ask your name. What is your name?" she said.
"Yes I forgot to introduce myself yesterday. I am Helen Willes, but you can call me grandma child. I am already 60 years old. How about you child how old are you?" old woman said.
"I am 5 years old grandma. And I don't have grandparents anymore, my parents told me." she said.
"Oh now you have one." old woman said.
"Thank you grandma." she said
"Welcome child." old woman said.

The old woman smiled at her. And she smiled at her too. Little Frances is starting to like the old woman.

"Grandma about my parents how will I find them?" she said.
"Don't worry my child I will help you with that like what I promise you. I will report it and ask them if they know your parents and if they found them. What is your parents name child?" old woman said.
"My mother's name is Celine Herbert and my father is Frederick Herbert." she said.
"Ok child. After you finish eating we will go to the police and ask tell them about your parents." old woman said.
"Ok grandma." she said.

After eating they got dressed and went to the police station. They get inside and saw a lady officer and they went to her.

Old Woman Pov :
"Hello Goodmorning officer!" she said.
"Hi Goodmorning how may I help you?" officer said.
"I want to report about something we were looking for these persons named Celine Herbert and Frederick Herbert." she said.
"Ok. Why you looking for them?" officer said.
"Because they are this child's parents." she said.
"Oh ok. I will look for them. I will just have your number and when I found them I will call you." officer said.
"Ok officer. Thank you." she said.

The old woman give her number to the officer after that they went home.

"Child don't worry they will find your parents anytime soon. We will just wait here and they will call me." she said.
"Ok grandma." little Frances said.
"While we are waiting child, what do you want to do?" she said.

Little Frances thinks what she likes to do now. Only one thing that she likes.

"Grandma I like dave and eva. My parents will buy me that song and they left me at the station." little Frances said.
"What is dave and eva child?" she said.
"Grandma you don't know them? They have so much songs like one little finger song." little Frances said.
"Oh I see child." she said.
"But you don't have it grandma." little Frances said.
"Oh it's simple child. We will buy the dave and eva song today. And when your parents return, you will have so many of songs already." she said.
"Really grandma?" little Frances said.
"Yes child. So get up now because we are going to the cd's store and we will buy that now." she said.
"Thank you grandma." little Frances said.

They went into the store and they look for dave and eva song.

"Child is this the dave and eva song?" she said.
"Yes grandma." little Frances said.
"Ok let's go to the cashier and we will buy this." she said.

They went home after they bought the cd. And little Frances immediately put the cd on the player and watch it. Dave and eva are singing and little Frances likes it so much.

"Grandma watch it too!" little Frances said.
"Ok child. But I will prepare for a food for us." she said.

The old woman prepare for the food and after preparing it she went back to little Frances who is enjoying the song. The old woman is smiling when she is looking at her and she didn't feel lonely anymore.

"Child. Have some food while you watch." she said.
"Thanks grandma!" little Frances said.

They both watch the cd until the end and the old woman received a call from the police station.

"Yes hello officer?" she said.
"Hello. We found them already. You have to come here now." officer said.
"Ok." she said.

The old woman cut the call and told little Frances that they found her parents.

"Child they found your parents we will go there now." she said.
"Really! Ok grandma let's go now!" little Frances said.

They went to the police station again and they are sitting in front of the officer.

"Hi. I am sorry to tell you that her parents are dead. We found them at the abandoned building." officer said.
"No! That's not true! My parents are still alive!" little Frances said.

They went to the morgue and little Frances saw that her parents are really dead. She keeps on crying. And thinking what will she do now.

"Child I am here for you don't worry I will take care of you." she said.
"Grandma I can't believe my parents are dead. I don't know who killed them." little Frances said.
"You will know it when you grow up child." she said.

Little Frances keeps on crying. And the old woman is there beside her. She will find out who killed her parents one day.
