You're nothing but a self-obsessed manipulative monster who only cares about satisfying himself! I can't believe I've ended up falling for you, now I wish it never happened!

Jesse, wait! Please!

No! You and I, we're through. I would never want to marry you! I don't ever want to see you again! And you can say goodbye to your child, cos I want NOTHING to do with it! GOODBYE FOREVER!

A week later...

Soren sighed and chugged another pint of lager, then he resumed his I'm depressed please leave me alone act. He was left alone and loveless for the second time. He thought she was the one, and the two started getting intimate, but it all went straight downhill for them. He was distraught, but Jesse on the other hand, felt zero remorse for breaking them up. She aborted their child (who turned out to be diagnosed with some life threatening disorder) and a week later, married her high school sweetheart.

"Twice, you've let this happen to you," said Soren to himself. "Maybe you just aren't cut out for this thing."

"Not cut out for what?" asked Ellegaard, the bartender who had begun refilling his glass. "Oh, and who was the girl you were chasing down the street? Come now, you're like- 44? And she looks 20! She's too young for you man!"

"21 actually, and married to this rich blond kid," Soren corrected.

"And a virgin too when you first met her? Gee. You should try searching for someone your own age, not someone who's twenty freaking years younger than you, ~that's just weird," said Ellie. This was also said out of jealousy. She'd been harbouring feelings for him ever since high school, and she too suffered a period of sadness and depression when she found out he had married Sally, who was a far prettier person, only for their marriage to not work out at all after she refused him any love and affection. She saw his latest breakup as the best chance to win his heart, and she felt it'd be easier given his current condition.

"Or give up altogether," he scoffed, swigging from his glass again. "I dunno anymore Ellie. Maybe marriage just isn't my thing..."

"What? That's crazy talk!" Ellie exclaimed, almost spilling beer on her shirt, then sitting down on a stool next to him. "You're like the most family-type person I've ever met, even if you're already the CEO of a large tech company! You can totally handle it, you just gotta stop making the wrong choices, know what I mean?"

Soren looked at her in confusion. "Then- then what are the right choices?" Ellie chuckled, then she simply said

"Come with me. My shift's over anyway."

Ellie led Soren to her car, they both got in the front and they drove away. At first, he thought she was just taking him home, but to his surprise, they drove past his mansion. When he asked where they were going, the only reply he got was a brief chuckle then the words 'you'll see.' Knowing he'd only get this answer again if he asked again, he remained silent throughout the fifteen minute drive through the roads meandering through the forest and the occasional house or gas station.

It was already getting dark, and what worried Soren was the grin that just wouldn't leave Ellie's lips. Whatever could possibly be going on through her mind, it had to have had something more sinister behind it, considering she hasn't had anything to drink all evening.

"Nice evening to go out for a drive don't you think?" he said in trying to spark up a conversation. No response whatsoever.

Ellie parked the case in front of a medium sized detached house in the middle of he residential district and beckoned Soren to go inside and wait for her in the lounge while she went to do something. As he waited in the lounge, he didn't dare touch anything except the floor. He never knew what sort of place Ellie would live in, but he never would've expected her to live in quite the luxurious abode despite her low-paying job.
