I woke up to the loud beeping of my alarm clock like I do every morning. I sear I'm going to break this damn thing.
I press the snooze button and slowly get out of bed. I walk to my closet and pick out a outfit for the day. I settle on a white tee-shirt, black skinny jeans, combat boots, and a black hoodie.
I tuck my ears under the hood to hide them and I put my tail underneath the hem of my hoodie.
"Martha! The bus will be here any minute!" My mom yells from down stairs.
"Coming mom!" I yell back. I grab my back pack and run out of my room into the living room and out the door with my brother Trey behind me.
"Martha did you hide your ears and tail properly?" My brother asked. I nod my head and look away from him.
"Are you ever going to talk to me again mar mar?" Trey asked using the nickname he gave me. I shake my head no looking sorry at him.
He nodded and looked away. "Lets get on the bus." That's when I realized the bus was there. I nodded and got on.
I sat in my normal seat in the back and looked out the window watching every thing pass by.
I cant wait to see Angela again shes my best friend she helped me through my first shift. Just like I helped her with her first shift. Shes like a sister to me.
The bus pulled to a stop at the middle school and I got off last like I do every time. I walked down the sidewalk to the cafeteria for breakfast.
Today was a flip day so I had seventh period first. Trey walked next to me towards the cafeteria and hugged me before we split apart towards our different tables of friends.
I said hi to my friends and sat next to Angela. "Hey Mika how are you doing? You know after everything." Angela asked using my nickname all my friends call me.
I shrug my shoulders and get up to get some breakfast. I get in line behind my crush. Jaden. I blush brightly as he looks at me smiling softly.
"Hey Martha." he says nicely. "Hey Jaden." I squeak out blushing even more as he chuckles at me.
Someone hugged me from behind and I squeaked knowing who it was. "Keegan let go of me!" He laughed and let go of me.
"I don't get a hi or hello or nothing so that was your punishment. At least it wasn't hunter." He said. I growled at him and he backed off.
"Hi Keegan. happy?" He nodded and hugged me again I growled for him to let go.
He let go as Jaden started laughing. I glared at Keegan.
"Keegan don't piss her off shes been through enough." Jaden said while looking at me with sorrow.
I got my breakfast and went to go sit down.
As I sat down Angela looked at me her mouth agape. "What. Was. That?" I looked at her confused. "What do you mean?"
"You and Jaden duh!" She said in a mo tone voice. "I have a new OTP!" I shook my head no and begged her not to. "Please Angela no!" She put her hand up to silence me.
"Not another word I've made up my mind its settled I'm making a OTP of you and Jaden." I growled at her and threw my head back
"Your evil Angela" She shook her head no and growled at my comment. "Calm down you know I'm just messing with you. Your as sweet as sugar." She smiled and nodded happily.
I whispered into her ear. "Remember we have a pack run today and there is a special announcement before hand." She nodded as the bell rang.
"Off I go it's top lockers today." she waved bye as I walked out side.
I went to art with MS.Carrithers. I'm ahead of the whole school in that class.
We are making clay pots I only have 1 pot to do the coil pot. I've made pinch pots, a pendent, a slab, 3 statues, and did 2 pots on the potters wheel.
The only thing is that Jaden is in this class. I sit by Jenette to avoid him. Your probably thinking I should sit with Jaden since I like him.
It's not that simple. I like Jaden but he doesn't like me. And he sits with Randall anyway.
The bell rung shortly after I finished my work. I left quickly trying to get to my favorite class of the day. Reading. Yes I'm a major book worm and I'm not ashamed.
I love Mrs.Thomas she understands what happened to me and doesn't care she just let's me read all I want and doesn't piss me off by telling me to put the book down.
But today I wasn't reading at all. I was thinking about what Jaden said at breakfast. She's been through enough. I kept on replaing that over and over in my head.
What did he mean by that? Dose he know what happened? He can't know I only told friends and family no one else.
The loud speaker came on. Mrs.Moore's voice came through. "Attention students and teachers we are on lockdown. This is not a drill I repeat this is not a drill."
Mrs.Thomas ran to the door locked it and closed the blinds. Everyone got up and went to a corner as Mrs.Thomas turned out the lights.

I heard gunshots down in the seventh grade hall. I got up even though Mrs.Thomas told me to sit down it was useless. She knew what I was doing. I didn't care if everyone saw. I shifted.
I turned into my white artic wolf. Everyone coward in fear. I looked at Mrs.Thomas she got up and unlocked the door for me I ran out and let her lock it again.
I ran down the sixth grade hall and into the seventh grade hall. And what I saw made my blood boil.
I howled with rage. Jaden on the floor a gunshot wound on his shoulder. The shooters around him.
They shifted their attention from him to me. There were 4 of them. I launched myself at the nearest one. I snapped his beak and tore his head off his shoulders.
I did the same to the others. I ran to Jadens side and layed my head on his chest licked his cheek while laying down next to him.
Then he made a groaning sound I looked up at him.
He woke up.
