Chapter one

~3 years early~

You were holding Piers up as Chris was getting the escape pod up and running "HURRY UP CAPTAIN, I DONT THINK PIERS CAN HOLD ON" you looked at your soon to be husband who was half monster and half human "it's ok Piers, just hold on we're almost home".

Chris soon got the pod open "Alright it's ready le-".

he was cut off by Piers pushing you and Chris in, as you were getting pushed in you tried to grab Piers but end up grabbing his green scarf. He closed the door and looked at you, you got up fast and banged on the glass "PIERS WHAT ARE YOU DOING, YOU CANT DO THIS, OPEN THIS DOOR NOW" you yelled.

"I'm s-sorry (y-y/h)" he said as he put his hand on the glass.

You put your hand where his hand is "Piers don't please, you can't leave me" you looked at him with tears falling.

"C-captain k-keep her s-safe" he said as he back up and looked at the button.

"PIERS DONT YOU DO THIS, YOU CAN MAKE IT, OPEN THIS DOOR PIERS" you yelled while trying to open the door.

"I l-love y-you (y/n)" was the last thing he said.

"PIERS" you yelled as the pod went into the dark water.

Chris grabs you gand wrapped his arms tightly as you fell to the ground crying, you were pushing and punching Chris in the chest trying to get free but he wouldn't let go, he just held you close and let you cry in his arms.

~end of dream~

You sat up fast from your bed gasping for air, you looked around to find Piers scarf of the floor, you grab it fast and aid down while holding it close to you "Piers" you softly said. You closed your eyes and curled into a ball. After a while you heard a knock on the door "come in" you said and looked at the door.

Chris walked in with a cup "hey (y/n) how are you feeling" he asked and handed you the cup.

"Sad, depressed, missing Piers, wanting to die, you know the usual" you slowly sat up and took the cup and took a sip.

Chris smiled a bit "come on, we don't wanna be late" he said.

"I don't wanna go" you put the cup down on the side table and laid down while pulling the blanket over your head.

"Come on we have new Rookies" he got up and pulled the blanket off of you.

"Chrrrriiiissss" you groan as you put your face in the pillow.

"Come on it's been a long since you been at base, everyone thinks you died in my house, and as your captain, friend and butler " he said as he picked you up and threw you over his shoulder, he walked to the bathroom and put you down "it's time for you to get in that shower, put your uniform on and meet me downstairs for breakfast" he shut the door and walked away.

You breathe softly and put Piers scarf on the counter, you took off your clothes got in the shower and relax a bit.

Soon you got out and wrapped a towel around your body, you grab Piers scarf walked out and saw your uniform on the bed "THANK YOU CHRIS" you yelled.

~time skip~

You were sitting on the passenger side as Chris drove to base, it was a long boring quiet car ride.

"Promise me Piers Death won't get in the way of your work" Chris said softly.

"I'll try Captain" you looked at him and tried to smile but only gave him a little one, Chris smiled back at you.
