The crowd finally fell silent when the princess put up her hand, Landon was awaiting for her to tell everyone that the kid was going to get executed but that wasn't what she was going to say.
"The king is dead" she announced, like it wasn't already known by everyone on the planet. "So, as the new queen I would like to call this event off and let everyone back home, you are free for the night" she then added, the whole crowd listening to her and starting to leave. Landon wanted to stop them, as there was still at least six more executions, but when the order came directly from the new queen he was powerless. "Guards, take those two inside, as well as Landon and his friends" she then spoke, and soon he and his friends were escorted into the castle and into a conference room.
Landon and his friends securely sat down on one side of the table. He must admit that he was worried for the queens idea of bringing the killers inside, but hoped it was to make their executions, which would be the normal punishment for a murderer.
"Heroes take a seat" she then said, baffling Landon. She called her father's slayers heroes. Not even they could understand that she was calling them heroes. They knew they weren't, like any sensible human being.
"Pwincessly, with all due respect, but why did you take your father's murderer in here? He could kill you too" Landon chipped in, wanting her to understand the danger. But she just glared at him once again.
"I will make some of my first announcements in here, I think the heroes should hear them" she spoke, giving the three killers a smile. She must've lost her mind, thought Landon. "The first one being the execution of the oracle, for treason and lying to my father about his prophecy" she then added, looking him straight into the eyes. Landon stood up in surprise.
"Wha..?" he didn't have time to finish the sentence before Pwincessly stopped him.
"Guards, take him away. And please execute him quickly, I do not want any public death." she stated, waving away him with her hand. And before the oracle knew the word of it two guards was holding onto him and bringing him away. Landon struggling greatly, he was in shock in that moment, and that's why he didn't say a word.
He couldn't say he knew what they said in there after that, but as soon as he was outside he began yelling curses of all kinds.
"YOU CANNOT EXECUTE THE ORACLE! I AM EVERYTHING YOU NEED!" he yelled as he was brought down to the darkest parts of the dungeons.
There he quickly got put into a cell, where he then waited for hours and hours. He had given up on screaming a long time ago when the door finally opened, and he was happy to see none other than his best friends. Vurb put his hand out to help Landon up to his feet.
"How do we get out of here?" Landon questioned, looking at the two.
"The tunnels, no one checks those" Aatrixx explained, and then they all hurried outside quickly. Landon swearing to take revenge on those who took everything from him while they ran out into the forest once again.
