A Ronald Weasley Love Story
"Class dismissed!" Minerva McGonnigal called as the young third year students packed up their things. "So, Amanda, what'cha wanna do?" A young Dianna Lovergone asked softly as they packed up their things and left the classroom, towards the Great Hall. "Well, I don't know. I'm supposed to find my sister today, I wanted to tell her about how good I did today in Transfiguration and Arithmacy! She loves to know when I do good." Amanda Marinoff said, a blush crossing her cheeks as she hugged her books to her chest. Watching her feet as she walked. "Oh, okay. Well, I was gonna go find Luna and ask her to tell me about those cool creatures again! Did you wanna come with me?" Dianna asked, smiling at Amanda kindly.
Next to her big sister, Dianna was Amanda's best friend. And she always felt bad when she couldn't hang out right away. "I'll see! When I finish talking to my sister, I'll come find you, yeah?" Amanda asked softly. The young Ravenclaws chatted silently as they walked towards the Common room so they could drop off their stuff.
Amanda's sister was a HufflePuff, so she never got to see her often, with the age and year difference of about three years, and the different Houses, different friend groups and classes, the sisters rarely saw one another. Which broke Amanda's heart. Her big sister was her best friend and it killed her to not be able to see her, so having these days where they always planned to meet, eat with each other and talk for a while about their classes, social lives, drama, etc etc. Was Amanda's favorite days of the week.
But upon walking into the Entrance Hall, she found the spot where Shannon usually stood, waiting for her before they entered the Great Hall, the spot was empty. Her beautiful big sister wasn't standing there, waiting shyly. So Amanda looked inside the Great Hall, looking up and down the Hufflepuff table, the Ravenclaw Table, the Slytherin Table and the Gryffindor Table. Shannon was friends with about everyone in each House. But she wasn't found anywhere.
This was odd. Shannon never forgot about Amanda, never. 'Did something bad happen to her?' She asked herself. Shaking her head she prayed not. She walked over to the spot where Shannon usually stood and waited. Maybe she was late. Maybe she was caught up at the end of class and was running late? Oh she hoped so.
Amanda stood there until Dinner was over. Too worried to eat. Her stomach hurt with worry, Shannon still hadn't shown up. The Great Hall was now empty and no one was to be seen down the corridors. It'd been maybe two hours since she stood there and began waiting. Amanda's stomach growled, but she didn't feel hungry, not at all. She bit her lip, looking around for her big sister.
Sighing Amanda went to walk away but was knocked onto the concrete floor, on her bum. Pain shot up through her tail-bone, gasping lightly she went to stand up, her hand landing in something squishy. "Ech!" She exclaimed, taking her hand away from a small jelly-filled donut. Ronald Weasley kneeled beside her, picking up all of the small pastries and food he had dropped. "Sorry, Mandy." Ron blushed.
Amanda's cheeks heated. Oh he was so cute...Shaking her head she gave a shy smile. "Hey Ron, it's okay!" She said softly. "But you can have this back." She whispered, wiping the pink jelly back onto his robe sleeve. Ron groaned, chuckling softly as he tried to wipe it off, getting jelly all over his pants and hands.
"Why are you just walking out of the Hall?" She asked curiously. "I saw you were waiting but you never came in to eat...these are your favorites, right?"He asked, blushing. She returned the blush. 'How CUTE" She thought to herself. "Well, were...they're kinda dirty now..." Ron said softly.
Amanda laughed, louder than she's ever laughed, her stomach hurt and Ron started to softly laugh with her until their laughs filled the corridor. "Wait, w-wait. W-Whats so funny?" Ron asked softly.
Amanda stopped laughing, scrunching up her nose in thought, she shrugged. "I forget." She said softly. Ron laughed loudly. "Me too!" He exclaimed. Amanda smiled, her blush crawling up her neck as she stood, pushing her pin straight dark brown hair behind her tanned ear. Her slender fingers picking up her bag and any of the sweets remaining on the floor she smiled and stood up straight, wiping any dirt off of her otherwise pitch black robes.
Ron smirked. "Your tie's a little crooked, mind if I fix it?" He asked, pointing to Amandas chest. Amanda blushed and nodded slowly, embarrassed and nervous that his hands would be close to her chest. His large, yet delicate fingers loosened her tie in order to straighten it. Something Shannon would do when they met up, Amanda's stomach squeezed with worry.
Every day, no matter what, Shannon made sure to be standing there, searching the crowd with a soft smile as she waited for Amanda. It was the highlight of Amanda's day, to turn the corner and see her tall, beautiful sister. Her sister was close to six foot, but not quite there just yet, maybe three inches too short. She had short dark blue hair with hints of green as an undertone, her hair reached closely to her chim, a huge difference from the long hair she had the year previous. Shannon had dyed her hair during the summer, changing it from the regular pin straight dark brown hair to blue, cutting the length that nearly touched her butt, and changing the color. Her sister, much like Amanda, was very tan with large brown eyes and arched dark brown eyebrows with a nose that suit her oval face. Shannon, much like her sister again- had the longest lashes that framed her puppy-dog eyes, which helped with her full lips.
Shannon was beautiful, you'd be quite dim not to see it. But Shannon would never admit to her beauty, and even doubted it. But with her slim figure and gracious beauty, she had all eyes on her when she walked. Something Amanda wished she could do. But had no idea that she already could do that, if she stopped caring what others thought of her.
"Earth to Mandy.." A large, pale hand waved in front of her face, Amanda jumped out of her daze with a small start, her hand flying to her chest to hold it as she remembered where she was. "Sorry, yes?" She looked up into Ronald Weasleys large green eyes, which was shaded by his shaggy ginger hair. He tilted his head in curiousity and worry, "What's wrong?" He asked her softly, his hand reaching over to envelope hers.
"I-I...my sister hasn't shown up yet, and she always meets me right here-" Amanda pointed to where she stood. "But she hasn't shown up yet and I'm worried, she never forgets. I'm scared, Ron. What if something bad happened?" She asked, her eyebrows pulling together in both worry and confusion. Ron ran his thumb over the back of her hand soothingly, and somehow, she could feel the tension slightly leave her body.
"Don't worry, okay? Shannon is a tough cookie and I'm sure she's okay." Ron tried to console her, but Amanda knew Shannon better than anyone ever could. She knew her triggers, and she knew Shannon never let anyone but Amanda see that side of her. Amanda was the only person that could make Shannon smile, even when she didn't want to, and knowing that her big sister could be anywhere on the school grounds, needing her, and her not being there...
Amanda's hand flew to her mouth as tears threatened to fall down her smooth cheeks. Ron straightened in worry. "Hey now, no crying.." before both of them knew what was going on, Ron had her in a ball on his lap, enveloping her in a hug. Amanda melted into his chest, slightly forgetting why she was crying, but then she remembered as he brushed the hair from her forehead - something Shannon would do simply to show her effection for her baby sister, that and kiss her cheek all the time; Much to Amanda's dismay.
Taking a deep breathe Amanda stood with determination; determination to find her sister. Turning she looked at Ron and held out her hand to help the huge boy up. "I'm going to find my sister, thank you for holding me." She said shyly, a blush tugging at her cheeks. "It's no problem... Uh.. I can help you look for her if you want? I mean, I've got nothing to do and the school is huge and you shouldn't be looking on your own.." Ron said softly, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly, a crimson blush cascading over his face and ears.
Amanda smiled shyly. "I'd like that, thank you."* Three * Hours * Later *
"But yeah, she fell off her bike back home and we both sat on the sidewalk crying." Ron chuckled at Amanda's story about how close she was with her sister, and just how connected they were. Being MuggleBorn kept Amanda unique with her sister, but it was difficult to tell stories to Ron when he had no idea what some things were, such as a bike. But she found herself contempt and actually very much enjoying explaining telling him what things were, because the look that came on his face when he finally understood what she was talking about, a light would spark in his eyes.
"Hey, whose that?" Ron asked, looking down the corridor, Amanda and Ron had been walking for hours and winded up walking in a huge circle back to the Great Hallm, hoping Shannon would be there looking for Amanda. But the slim figure standing with a tall male, wasn't Amanda's sister, but one of Shannon's good friends Brooke. "That's Brooke! Maybe she knows where Shannon is! C'mon!" Amanda cried, grabbing hold of Ron's hand and running towards Brooke and the young male she stood rather too closely with.
"Brooke!" Amanda cried, running faster, Ron tripping over himself as they ran. Reaching Brooke she noticed just how close she was with...NEVILLE?!
"Oooooh" Amanda said softly, under her breathe. "Brooke have you seen Shannon?" Amanda asked, she wasn't out of breathe but Ron looked like he was about to pass out and it made Brookes smile broaden. "You alright there Ron?" She asked, before turning her head to look at Amanda. "And no I haven't. Neville and I were looking for her actually." Brooke commented.
Amanda's eyes flickered from Neville - who stood rather close to Brooke and had his hand on the small of her back, and back to Brooke. "Oh, well don't worry about it. Ron and I are looking for her, so you go on about your...'day'" Amanda commented, wiggling her eyebrows at Brooke the way she did at Shannon when she was joking and teasing. Brooke rolled her eyes and nodded, giving Amanda a small smile before she turned, dragging Ron away with her.
"Where do you think she could be?!" She shouted. Ron stood close to her, holding her to his chest. "Hey, shh, it's okay. We'll find her, I promise." He said softly, kissing the top of her head. Amanda's body stiffined, suddenly forgetting why she was upset, but now wondering why she wasn't kissing Ron.
Tilting her head up she stared at the tall gentleman infront of her, a blush creeping up her neck as she glanced at his lips. A small smile tugged at his, as he stared down at her. "Is it okay if I kiss you?" Amanda asked softly, suddenly wanting to crawl in a hole and die. Ron chuckled softly before nodding. "I was just about to ask you the same thing..." Ron said softly before leaning in, his lips brushing hers for merely a moment before..
"Ronald Bilius Weasley what in the name of Helga Hufflepuff are you doing to my sister!" A strong female voice shouted from down the corridor, jumping away from each other Amanda saw her sister, anger full on her face as she stomped towards the two, George Weasley trailing behind, holding her hand softly, attempting to say something to Shannon, but obviously she wasn't listening.
Coming to a hault in front of the two Shannon lifted her hand to slap Ron, but wasn't able to for the mere fact that Amanda collapsed into Shannon's arms, tears streaming down her face as she croaked about how worried she had been about her sister and how she should never do that to her again.
Shannon's anger fell away as she hugged her baby sister. "I'm so sorry, Dootsie. I didn't mean to worry you... I just had a rough day." She said softly. "But George helped me." Shannon said, turning her head to smile at the older Weasley.
It was Amanda's turn to get protective.
As the Marinoff girls faught and argued, the Weasley men just smiled at each other, holding their ladies hands as they argued, utterly contempt with how the day turned out.
