His eyes darted to the lock once more. If there was ever a time to perform a wand less charm, it would be now. He let out a sigh, realizing it was no use, although his brain raced in a search of an exit.
His thoughts drifted, remembering the time he had been locked in the broom shed back at the burrow. That situation was not due to the ministry of magic however. Instead there was his two younger brothers, in search of a laugh, and Charlie was to be the source of it. Thank Merlin for his younger sister Ginny, otherwise he may have spent the rest of his life in the shed, with no other occupants than a spider.
He let out a laugh, somehow forgetting his compromised situation, just at the thought of spiders. 'Oh Ronald Weasley' Charlie thought, picturing the face of his brother within 100 ft of any arachnoid.
Ron afraid of spiders, Ginny-
There was a sound drawing his attention towards a figure. As the person stepped closer he could tell by the light flickering from one of the flames it was the same female he has spent the duration of the last few hours with. He sat up, curious really as to what she was doing.
"We have to go now!" She ordered in a serious tone, her face stricken with fear. She fumbled with a key inserting it into the lock of his cell.
He was utterly confused. And had a million questions. He stood from the spot where he was seated and moved over to her, staring down at her through the bars. "What are you- how-?"
She looked up, and he stared into her bright green eyes. "Listen Charlie, do you want to get out of here or not?"
"Well considering the circumstances, yes, I would like to not be locked up, but I don't understand-"
"There is no time for explanation. I can get you out of here, but on one condition."
"Anything."
She faltered under his gaze, staggering back a bit. She seemed hesitant, and what ever she had to say he could see was visibly making her uncomfortable. Her eyes flashed back up to his. "I need you to take me to Diagon Alley. Can you do that?"
He eyed her suspiciously. First, the familiar location seemed odd for her to be familiar with. Not to mention he hadn't been home for years now. He knew nothing about this girl, or why she had so much trouble stating she wished to go their. But after a long silence he nodded his head.
"OK." He confirmed.
She seemed relieved and then swung the door of the cell open. It was five minutes past that the two trotted down the dusty road toward the sanctuary, caution held in every step. She walked briskly ahead of Charlie, eager to leave, and he followed her accordingly.
"Well this is certainly an adventure isn't it?" He asked, attempting a conversation once falling in step with her.
"Mr. Weasley, mind you I'd hardly consider this an adventure."
He chuckled at her tone, staring ahead at the silhouette of the tree's among the purple sky. "Why the formalities?"
"You are a stranger."
He turned walking backwards so he could look at her properly. "Stranger? Surely we can consider one another acquaintances."
She simply threw him a look, but the suppressed smirk from the girl satisfied his worry that she had no humor. He proceeded to walk forwards once more, and the two walked in an slightly awkward silence. Though bearable. It was too late for one to have their ear chewed off.
As they reached a grassy cliff that overlooked the sea, the stars shed enough light that the waters surface could be seen from their vantage point. The water was black, like a liquid potion that was filled with poison, crashing upon the rocks.
