Yaaaay my first story here on wattpad -Happy dance- Please read and tell me what you think :P
"Leave me alone!" Came a shout from a two story home. An angry girl stormed out, her dark arms and shins were exposed despite the frigid cold air. Lavender Brown sat on the roof of her lavender-violet car, her almost black curly hair wisped around her face.'What's wrong with me?' She thought to herself 'Where did I go wrong? Why am I so weird?'
Lavender was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. Not hurting a living soul, and caring for others. She absolutely loved nature, but the people, weren't so nice. Lavender thought back to the day before she was treated differently for the first time.
"Come on class, get in a line!" A sixth grade teacher shouted to her class. Lavender had obliged immediately, without asking any further questions.
The class was supposed to play outside that day, but the temperature had dropped and the activity was cancelled. Not only had the temperature dropped, but it was snowing. When Lavender saw the snow it took all of her might to stay put instead of run outside. Anger welled up inside Lavender, and the snow came down harder until there was a blizzard outside. Wait a minute? Why was she angry for an unexpected event? She should be happy they wouldn't freeze to death. The snow started to fall softer, and soon it melted away, flowers grew in half an instant, birds flew into trees, and a rainbow appeared in the sky. Lavender hiccupped in shock of what happened; the weather... changed with her... emotions?!
After school that day, all of the kids were let outside to wait for their parents; Lavender was both upset and confused about what happened. It started to rain, her wet hair, and voilet dress clung to her body , the twelve year old girl threw her head back and looked at the sky.
"Why are you doing this!?" She yelled, she stomped her foot and there was a small earthquake under the school. The drizzle turned into a thunder storm, lightning striking just inches away from her, Her hair wisped around her face violently, and tears streamed down the child's face. Dust flew into the air, creating some kind of demon monster; it reached out to grab her. A teacher grabbed a hold of Lavender and ran back into the school, away from the creature. It growled in anger, then disappeared.
Lavender waited outside the princapals' office, ignoring the stares she got from other students. But she had almost burst into tears when a kindergardener came in and started to visibly shake with fear once she saw her.
"I don't want this... this FREAK in my school!
"Principal Martin! Lavender is not a freak!" Mrs. Brown yelled. "She is one of the top students in this school! I can't believe you would insult such a gifted student, and she's my daughter!"
"She destroyed over $1,000 worth of items!"
"I'll pay for it!" The teacher yelled. "And it wasn't her fault!"
Lavender couldn't take it anymore, she tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge, it was locked. Anger boiled up inside of her, the doorknob in her hands melted, smiling she ran into the office. Ignoring the stares from the secretary and vice princapal.
"I have the money!" She declared. The leaves on 4 plants in the office turned into money, the previous leaves now gone. "The money will immediately grow back as long as I am in this school! Kick me out and all of the money in your hand will turn back into leaves! It will grow enough to pay for the damage, and an extra thousand for yourself."
"I-..."
"Do we have a deal?"
"Y-yes! Yes we do!"
Lavender left the room with Mrs. Brown, "All of our plants at home will grow money as long as you don't change." She smiled her soon to be mother.
The teacher took Lavender and her 5 year old sister, Indigo home.
Sighing, Lavender stared at the sky, the soft snowflakes melting at her touch. A barn swallow flew onto her out stretched hand.
"Lavie?" it asked. "You ok?"
"Sylvian, if you were me? Where would you go? Where can someone like me go to find happiness?"
"If I were you I would fly to somewhere warm and snuggly." Sylvian shivered.
Smiling, Lavender took the bird inside and put her by the fire place, then went upstairs. But before she could open the door to her room, Mrs. Brown came out. "Lav, sweet what happened?"
"Sorry mom, Indy was messing with my collection of ceramic creatures again." Smiling, she gave her adoptive mom a hug.
"Indigo!!!!!"
"I'm sorry! I didn't know!!"
"You've messed with the last of my things!!" Lavender shouted, she threw her hands in front of her. The floor boards in front on the 10 year old shot out of the ground then encircled her, creating a cage.
"Give. Me. Back. My. Swallow." Lavender said through gritted teeth.
"Finders keepers, losers weepers." Indigo responded in a sing song voice, her short brown hair swaying with her head movements.
"Well, I guess since this machete at the store I found is now mine, why not use it now?!"
"Girls!" Mrs. Brown shouted. "Calm down. Now Indy, did you steal another ceramic figure?"
"No! I found this poor baby swallow by the fire place, and I'm going to take it to the south side of town so it can be warm. And Lav is trying to kill him, right Mr. Tickles."
"Sylvian is a girl, and I'm trying to keep her warm, but if you don't give her back, I'll just have to do this!"
Lavender thrust her arm behind her back, and then pulled it towards her and out to her sister, a stream of ice cold water hit Indigo, making her drop the bird. Sylvian flew onto Lavender's shoulder; the teenager then lowered the floor boards and walked off.
Indigo lay fainted on the floor; Mrs. Brown took a deep breath and picked up Indigo and put her in her bedroom.
"No way Isabella! Your bluffing!"
"Am not, Michael Stevens is coming to our school, for high school. And his manager, Timothy Greene. Is going to be there."
"Do you think he'll remember me?"
"If he doesn't I'm going to go Kung Fu master on him."
"Whateves Bella, you just want me to set you up with Tim."
"Uhh, no I'll call you back later bye."
Isabella was Lavender's best friend, they had met when lavender moved here 2 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. They were both moving to a new school this year and actor Michael Stevens and his manager/ best friend Timothy Greene were going to go to the school.
"Lavender?" Her mom asked knocking on the door of the teen's room. Opening the door she stepped in, "Lavender, your sister is unaware of all of your powers. As far as she knows, you can talk to animals and control plants. She already thinks you're a fairy or something, but... just be more careful. Your first day of school is tomorrow, get some rest."
Lavender obliged, and fell asleep... a few minutes later her eyes shot open. She stood up and slipped on some shoes, her ice blue eyes were dark and cloudy. Opening the front door, she stepped outside, the soft snowflakes, turning into a blizzard her nightgown swaying in the wind. The snow created a monster... It's blood-red eyes sparkled with delight.
"I'm back." it sneered.
