The bet

The adrenaline was pulsing through the boy's veins as they exited to the left of the stage, cheering and clapping following them.  A few of them had caught a few of there fan girls crying from happiness and there audience getting bigger and more wild by the second, literally. Whether it was YouTube, the news or a friend they were slowly getting round.

"Great job on your performance tonight guys." there manger hollered, yelling over the ever present cheers from the audience, patting each of them on the back.

Most of them just replied with a smile or mumbling a thanks either to puffed out or too overwhelmed to say anything. Sweat had formed a thin layer over their skin from the hot stage lights, no matter how many times they performed they were still hot, glistening.

By the time they had made it out of the venue that was hosting their performance the adrenaline had died down a bit, but not enough to stop them from making stupid decisions in the heat of the moment.

"Imagine if one of use ended up falling for a fan," Jonah chuckled cheekily, trying to picture going out with a die-hard fan. As much as he appreciated their love for him, he couldn't help but think that after a while they'd end up being to clingy and over jealous.

"No thanks man, I'd prefer a girl who has no idea who I am already." Zach commented, sharing some of the same thoughts as Jonah, however he didn't even want a chill fan. He wanted someone that had no idea so if things got to over whelming or difficult he could take refuge in her company. Or maybe just for the sheer amusement of when they find out. Either way he didn't want a fan.

"I mean, we don't really have any guy fans so..." Jack trailed off, the rest of them knowing he was gay but sadly not there fan base. His manager had thought it would be better as to not scare off all his female fans.

"I wouldn't mind going out with a fan. I think it would be cool." Daniel chimed in not really having to much of a preference of what girl he ended up loving, he didn't mind as long as he loved them.

"What about you Corbyn. You've been quiet this whole time." Zach teased, but also wanted to hear what Corbyn had to say about it.

"Huh, oh. No I don't think I'd date a fan, or date for that matter just make other jealous." Corbyn replied, smirking his daring, sexy, boyish smirk at the rest of them. Although it sounded like he was joking there was some truth to what he had said.

"How about we make a bet then?" Jonah asked, adrenaline pushing him to dare the others to.

"Depends what the bet is." Corbyn said, as his smirk grew at the idea of it, probably a bit of the adrenaline talking for him too.

"Simple, whoever falls for a fan first loses." Jonah dared (kind of) a smirk also accompanying his face.

"Sounds stupid." Jack mumbled before getting up and walking out not really wanting to hear any more of what they were planning. He tended to be a little bit more level headed after performance s and such, that and he didn't have any boy fans. So there really wasn't much point.

"What happens if you lose?" Daniel inquired, half interested half thinking it was also a dumb idea but he was curious.

"How about if you lose if you lose you have to flirt with Jack in front of everyone else?" Corbyn had said the first consequence that had come to mine, it was a pretty good consequence if you weren't doing it and you weren't Jack. Jack had left the room not even five minutes ago so he was oblivious to the whole thing.

"I'm in." Jonah stated confidently, being the one that proposed the idea.

"You're on." Zach replied not long after Jonah.

"This is stupid." Daniel said rather bluntly, "I'm not doing it."

"Guess that just leaves us three if Corbyn's not gonna pussy out?" Jonah provoked.

"Psh, as if! count me in. I can't wait to see you make a fool out of yourselves." Corbyn had given Jonah the answer he wanted as well as taunt both his and Zach while Daniel was just face planting at there stupidity.

4 weeks later- with Jack

"They can be so stupid sometimes."

Jack grumbled walking the short distance to his high rise apartment in LA. Who would've thought he'd move from Susquehanna, Pennsylvania to Los Angeles, California.

Fortunately he wasn't the only one. Him and his childhood friend Matilda had moved to LA  together both hoping to be famous. Unfortunately only Jack had succeeded, so far. Matilda was working two jobs, one was a barista at a coffee shop simply because she liked the people that worked there as well as most of the customers. The second job was a small time script writer, she was slowly but steadily getting bigger jobs. Bigger jobs meaning short films that didn't quite make it to the cinema but were still herd of, C-B grade stuff.

Once washing the sweat and makeup off him, Jack dialed Matilda.

M= Matilda speaking

J= Jack speaking

"Hey Jack." -M

"hey Matti, I was wondering if you wanted to sleepover at my place tomorrow." -J

"Sure, what time should I come over?" -M

"Anytime that suits you." -J

"Cool, I'll be over in the afternoon. I have a shift at 'Smoking beans' (name of the coffee shop) in the morning but I'll be over after that." -M

"Okay, see you then." -J

"Yup, bye." -M

And with that Jack hung up and started getting ready for bed. He was grateful that Matilda could sleep over, he needed a serious ranting session.
